FANTASY BASEBALL DRAFT REMINDER!

I don't want to get into or create an argument over something I have no jurisdiction over,
just that...
what I am wondering is, if the rules that were in place when this dropped player, or trade happened....shouldn't it be allowed under the rules at the time....and from here on out, the new rule takes effect?
and/or is this something that all of us that are/were in the league a possible vote,
or the person in charge of the league handles?

I have only played ff baseball a couple of times, and 3/4 overall ff football at work and past season with the message board. So I don't know that much re: rules....more that I feel bad reading all the upset.

My two cents.

The league rules and scoring categories were known before the draft. Which, if I remember (cannot get to fantasy sports from work), was over 3-4 weeks ago.

Now, I have never, ever, played in a fantasy league before this one, where there wasn't a trade approval system of some sort. Usually, it would take something like over 50% of the league to disapprove a trade. Would this trade been disapproved? I am not too sure on face value. But if the parties involved were trying to make a point of something wrong with the league, this is probably a very "childish" way of going about it.

Now, I also have not played in a league where there wasn't a waiver period. Waiver claims are made in reverse draft order. As players are dropped or added to the database, there is generally a 2 day wait period. At which time, a team can use they waiver priority and make a claim against a player. Once they make a claim, then their priority is dropped to the bottom. If a player goes through without being claimed, then they become a free agent.

So, when Mike dropped all those players, and if a waiver period was in effect, no one would have been able to add them to their team.

Bottom line. No the league isn't the best set up. But who cares? I thought this was a fun way for the "Crazy Misfits" to show some of you up. However, this incident really showed the character of some people.

I'm the 1969 Seattle Pilots for the record, and I am never trading Don Mincher or Gene Brabender, so don't even bring up their names in the negotiations.

I assumed that there was a commish approval or a grace period on trades. Guess what that makes me and you?

Admittedly somethings were over looked when we initiated the league such as trades and waivers. Learning curve with this many people involved in a fantasy league, it'll be a little smoother next year. I'm sorry that what happened had the possibility of happening, hopefully next year we'll get off on the right foot.

It's a free league, so the mistakes cost nothing. No big deal now that the commish took the appropriate course of action. But we need some sort of official "there's no place for that" statement to appease the "outraged."

Cool story, bro.

Tony you have been replaced, thanks all.

Thank you.

Sorry it came down to this, but it is what it is. First off, i missed the draft completely and my team was autopicked. I hated my team and would have lost interest almost immediately. I would have deleted my team asap but there was no option because it was too late. Better off with someone who cares....
