Fauria UnCertain after Twisting Ankle

Blocking for Pettigrew. Rookie Ebron who will remain cheaper for 3 more years. Yes. And the production is coming. 13 plus playoffs to go.

oh...Petti-block is leading the Lions to the 25th ranked rushing attack in the NFL (31st in YPA @ 3.0)

Exactly, it's only three games in so far. Which is why we cannot go around boasting how incredible this defense is. Again, you can't play both sides.

yes I can. Because the defense has talent and it should continue. So do all the tight ends. Big things to come.

Sounds like a broken record out of you. First 1/2 of 2012, first 1/2 of 2013; first 3 games of 2014.

You can boast a little..cmon. The NFL is week-to-week. One week you're a God, the next you're dog food. Gotta puff out our chests a little, bro. They SHUT DOWN GB....that counts for something.

Now, they get torched for 300+ and 4 scores against the Jets and everything is back to normal lol.

Pettigrew's cap hit is less than Ebrons (23rd)

Pettigrew 24th highest TE cap hit in the league.

2015 Pettigrew is 20th in cap hit

Stop being morons. I beg you all.

Stafford by the way. 10th for QBs this year, 8th next year. That's about right for what he has done

I give a shit which of them have a higher cap hit. If we are paying Pettigrew one penny over veteran minimum, which we are, we're getting robbed.

Holy crap..you said something logical. Almost like you had a conversation.

Tony, my point is that you cannot talk about how great the defense has been playing, but ignore the fact that Stafford has not played well at all in the first three games. It was directed to LKP. You can't have one without the other.

Stafford was awesome in the first game. Second game he played good in the first half, but was bad in the second half. He still managed to lead us into scoring position, only to squander away points. Third game, Stafford moved the chains, but had trouble getting in the endzone. Overall, he's been good enough. Does he need to clean up some shit? 100%.

Injured it potty training his puppy. Picture of the puppy in the link.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria finally explained how he sprained his left ankle, and the story is almost too unbelievable to be true.

Fauria said he missed two steps while chasing after his 3-month-old Pomerian/Husky mix, Lil' Rufio, at his apartment on Wednesday night. While bracing for a fall, he put his 265-pound frame on his left foot and sprained his ankle.

"He was about to pee and I was like, 'Come here you little ... nugget,'" Fauria said Monday at his locker with a boot on his left foot and crutches by his side. "And I was chasing him downstairs. I wasn't running but I was chasing him downstairs and I just misstepped and I reached with my left foot and I just didn't end up well."

He joked about the incident on Twitter.

Fauria said he called his teammate, Sam Martin, and then Lions trainers following the injury but they didn't answer so some neighbors drove him first to an urgent care facility and then the Beaumont Hospital emergency room in Royal Oak to get the ankle checked out.

The second-year pro said he was wearing socks at the time and where the injury occurred went from carpet to hardwood so he put all his weight on the foot to brace it. "It was kind of agonizing pain," Fauria said.

He dismissed rumors that had been floating around since the injury that he hurt it playing volleyball or that he injured the ankle at a bar. Fauria said he was at a volleyball event earlier that night supporting his friends and that he was warming up with them, but that he did not injure the ankle playing volleyball.

"I heard footgolf, basketball, lewd activities as well," Fauria said. "I'm no stranger to rumors. I did get suspended from a school and I know those rumors were around, too. I'm no stranger to it, but I was there supporting my friends and it happened two hours after."

Fauria, who has three catches for 49 yards this season, said the doctors have given him a timeline for his return but he declined to share it Monday.

Detroit sure seems to be the home of odd injuries with their players, hey? Burleson with the pizza fiasco last year, Joel Zumaya with his guitar hero injury and elbow injury moving boxes in a wildfire evacuation, and now this. Do these guys need baby-sitters or what...???

Lions just need to hire a psychic. When they sense a "stupid" injury coming they can just cut or trade these half wit's.

No reason to even be surprised, or to doubt this story...

We lost our starting MLB to a celebration.

Last year we lost our #2 WR to a pizza.

A bridge almost fell on our QB.

This seems to fit right in.
