FBI Witness Says He Paid UM Football Players

I can be persuaded one way or the other on how pro or amateur college sports should be, but I feel like similar rules should apply to players, coaches, and administrators. Not to say non-players shouldn't be paid at all, but their pay should scale like other organizations with employees making the equivalent of the value of a scholarship. It doesn't feel right to have top of the field salaries on one end of the payscale, and stiff rules restricting compensation for the other.

Doesn't it seem these reports about players getting paid always seem to come out after the said players are headed to the NFL?
