Police should stop murdering, or trying to murder, innocent people.

I see this as a big problem.

one guy was anything but innocent. The story isn't out on the second. He very well may have been reaching for a gun.

Yes, normally innocent people walk away from the police when told to stop.

Definitely missing context here. Who knows maybe these cops didn't like the way the guy looked at them and decided to kill an 'innocent' man.

Or the guy had a weapon, was refusing commands, and entering a public building where he could have taken a hostage.

Until more details come out, you are pretty willy nilly with your assertions.

So the official story seems to be, man had a knife, police tried to stop him, tasers failed, and shot him when he was attempting to enter a convenience store.

Imagine if he had just listened and complied with the police, definitely wouldn't have gotten shot.

There are reports that the guy in Kenosha was in a scuffle with police, already had been tazed and had a knife too. He was walking away from police that had guns drawn yelling for him to stop (not sure if he still had a knife). He opened his door and appears to reach down to grab something. My guess is this will also be a justified shooting.

Meanwhile, idiots in the press, athletes, and government officials are pouring gas on the fire with their uninformed comments. The city of Kenosha is literally burning to the ground.

Here we go again with process of picking at details to show how everybody that's upset shouldn't be. I guess if you don't think people should be angry, you can either pat yourself on the back for being so much smarter than all the the people that are upset or maybe try to figure out what it is you keep missing. Over and over.

I wish there was an emoji of someone patting themselves on the back.

The thing that other people don't do is look at the details. Nobody knows all of the details regarding the shooting in Kenosha but they are burning the city down.

WELL THEN, you should pat YOURSELF on the back for knowing the experience of being black and living in Kenosha better than the black people who live in Kenosha.

Why do you think they are doing this?

there will be even fewer body cameras after they defund the police departments.

There is another video out there that shows Blake fighting with police prior to getting shot. It says that they used a stun gun on him in that video.

I think it's reasonable to expect to get shot if you fight with police, get up and go to your car, then grab something from inside the car, all while the police are yelling to stop, get down, and have their guns drawn.

Almost all of these cases could be avoided if people would just listen to what the police are saying and follow simple commands.

Almost all of these protests could be avoided if people trusted our system to be fair in determining who is accountable for what.

Going forward, I don't think it's reasonable to expect to wake up one day and have all people react perfectly to police or to expect police to react perfectly to stressful situations. One thing I do see as theoretically possible is fixing our process of accountability. It would certainly take time, it's a cultural change, but it starts with eliminating the profession as a safe haven for the bad apples. Deep down I believe most police want this - if they could also trust the system to not be unfair to them.

Oh, no doubt. Many don't want them in the first place.

But I don't see that happening on a large scale. I think much of it is knee jerk to be forgotten in due time.

I see something about the guy that was shot was thought to be attempting to burn down a car dealership.
