Ferguson, MO

There is a narrative on twitter/reddit and I am not saying it's true, that the police are working with militia and it was militia that shot protesters in Kenosha.

I'm not seeing anything like that being reported in the news. Scary stuff. Things just keep getting worse.

there's video of the cops giving the shooter water, and a pat on the back, then driving the protestors out of the park, and TOWARD the white trash militia people, who shot three of them and killed two.

the police are racists who have ties to right wing extremists. not only there in Kenosha, either.

a little more info coming out about the Blake shooting. It appears that he was the reason the cops were there in the first place. He had a warrant for 3rd degree sexual assult and wasn't supposed to be on the property.

"Kenosha officers were called to a domestic incident Sunday evening, police said. A woman called saying "her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises," according to investigators from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation. In a police call, a dispatcher names Blake and says he "isn't supposed to be there" and that he took the complainant's keys and refused to leave. The dispatcher later explains she doesn't have more details because the caller was "uncooperative." When officers arrived, they attempted to arrest Blake and used a Taser to try to stop him, the DCI said. Blake then walked around his vehicle, "opened the driver's side door, and leaned forward," the agency said. During the investigation following the incident, the DCI said Blake admitted he had a knife and authorities later recovered one from the driver's side floorboard of his vehicle. No other weapons were located in the car, investigators said."

No, no, no, no, NO!

He was yet another rando black dude minding his own business who was hunted down and murdered like a dog by racist cops for sport, just like the cops did with Trayvon Williams.

When you gon? get woke?

It's never suspicious when the cops take 3-4 days to get their stories straight, then tell us what a bad guy they murdered was.

Remember how many times the story changed in the Michael Brown incident that started this whole thread?

I still see a video of a guy walking away from cops when they grab him, then start shooting him in the back.

I know some of you might not really care for black people - especially poor ones that didn't play college football for Michigan, OSU or MSU - but the police aren't supposed to serve as the judge, jury, and executioners of them in the streets.

At least I didn't think they were. Maybe I'm na?ve and wrong, and that was always the point of having police.

When black guys resist and are uncompliant, and tazing doesn’t work, maybe there needs to be some thing before deadly force.

Maybe the next step should be to shoot them in the balls with rubber bullets.

Or maybe a warning first that they’re going to be shot in the balls with rubber bullets.

No guy, regardless of their race, wants to have their balls shot..

The reaction to this thing isn't just a reaction to this thing. We can Monday morning QB the necessity of 7 shots all day, but the reaction to this is a reaction all the similar cases over the past few years since BLM has been in the news.

You all know I was all about picking apart the details back in the Trayvon Martin case. Missing the forest for the trees.

there was never any need for that, even back then. That was quite obviously
murder.

It was almost self-evident that George Zimmerman created the violent situation. Even the 911 operator told him to stand down. You cannot stalk someone in public, accost them, and then use deadly force.

This is less civilized than Medieval England, where the common law rules of self defense were worked out, and the use of deadly force for self-defense was justified only in your own home.

what about when white guys resist and are uncompliant?

just let them go and issue a bench warrant for their arrest, right?

I don?t know what happens when white guys resist or are uncompliant. I don?t know if it?s different or not different.

But I would say do exactly the same thing-taser first, then rubber bullets to the nut sack.

I am sorry you judge people by the colour of their skin instead of by their actions.

Why were the cops there?

Why wasn't he following instructions of the police?

Why did the officers have their guns drawn when the video started?

Why did they shoot him once he was getting into the car?

Context is important. A 30 second video is great click bait, but doesn't provide sufficient context.

This is almost laughable. How did you come up with that after reading the post you quoted and think mchamp is the one who uses skin color as judgement?:ashamed:

I caught this on the Rich Eisen show right before I took my sister to the doctor.

T. J. Jefferson experience being Black in America, and being profiled by the color of his skin.. He works on Rich’s show.

The police aren't supposed to kill people for not "following instructions." They're supposed to arrest them and let a judge or jury of their peers determine if they actually committed a crime. Police aren't hired to make those determinations (they're too dumb).

At least that was how it used to work.

This is America, not Poland. At least it was America before millions of corrupt, authoritarian-loving Poles, Ukrainians and Russians started moving here from the Eastern Bloc...

Ummmm...so how do the police arrest them when they?re resisting arrest?

They aren't supposed to arrest them. They are supposed to call a social worker first so they can talk it out. If that doesn't work, the police are to get involved. The police will then ask the suspect to get into the back of the car...but no handcuffs. The suspect needs to be willing to go. If they refuse, just let them go. No need for any kind of physical interaction that could lead to injury or hurt feelings.

You're joking, but I'm not sure what this guy did that would warrant getting arrested in the first place. There was some kind of dispute, police showed up, and he was leaving.
