Big Ben has more passing td's in the last 2 weeks than 11 teams have had all year. There were a few potential playoff teams on the list.....us, Seattle, KC and Cincy.

At the end of the day, Stafford needs to elevate his game to the next level for this team to go far in the playoffs. They cannot rely on this defense to produce at a consistently high level as they have all season. At some point, they will fall back a bit. When that happens, the Lions need their franchise QB to step up.

The whole offensive unit needs to step up. Healthy CJ, Healthy Bush and a healthy Fauria should help.

I know his hands have been tied with the injuries but the play calling needs to get better. If our oline is giving up too much pressure we need more quick throws. Plus some well timed screens would slow down the rush.

Stafford has to play better. If we are paying him like a franchise qb he needs to play at that level.

Stafford has the 6th most passes in the league 2.5 seconds or less with 187 attempts (and three QBs in front of him in attempts less than 2.5 seconds haven't had byes. I don't know how many more we can throw quickly to be honest. Lions are 13th in 2.5 seconds or more throws.

Stafford's average is 2.44 to attempt. 7th quickest in league.

Next three games are huge for Matt... The offense better play better coming off this bye week with guys coming back.. It is time for Lombardi and Matt to get on the same page..
Miami game is critical to win consider the next two game after...

Interesting Stafford is pressured 29% of his dropbacks. Thats 7th lowest in the league ( a good thing). However, the sack % (24.7%) of plays under pressure is highest in the league. Hence 24 sacks in 8 games. So when he's under pressure, he is sacked 25% of the time. Oline not as bad as we think, but when they give up pressure, it ends poorly. Stafford could be eating more sacks instead of throwing crazy picks.

Stafford pressured 97 times in 335 drop backs. 7th best in league.
