Game 1: Cardinals @ Lions Thread

My Fav part of this victory has been being able to laugh at all my slappy friends and co workers who picked David Johnson on their FFL teams and were all boasting about how great he is and how they'll get off to a great start having him against the Lions Week 1. Well, slappies Mr Johnson gotted his ass shut down bitches!! Yeah, buddy you got something to say now? I don't hear any of em yappin today

I mean while he didn't have a great game, he still put up 13 points in a PPR league in 2 1/2 quarters, not like he was useless. But yeah he certainly did under perform, injury didn't help.
 
Carson Palmer was awful....dline exceeded expectations creating pressure and we had some good coverage......but Carson Palmer was AWFUL!
 
The victory was notable for Stafford in a few ways. It was the 52nd of his career, which breaks a tie with Bobby Layne for the most in franchise history.
It came in his 100th straight start, including the playoffs. And he delivered it like so many others in recent years -- via a fourth-quarter comeback.

He set an NFL record with eight of them last season, and now has 29 for his career. That's already second most all time for a quarterback through nine seasons -- which leaves him with 15 more opportunities to threaten Matt Ryan's record of 32.

Detroit was credited with 11 pass breakups, a team high since 2012, and a team high in a season opener since at least 1994. Throw in the three interceptions, and the Lions got a hand on roughly one-quarter of Carson Palmer's passes.
The Lions got home for just one sack, but they also hit Palmer seven times from six different directions. He rarely had clean pockets, and looked uncomfortable on the move.

Thoroughly impressed by how the defense played. Gotta admit I was doubtful after Brady torched us in the 3rd preseason game. Very strange 1st half, the offense was struggling mightily and the defense was keeping the game close. Ass backwards of what I figured was going to happen
 
Did Caldwell ever get questioned whey he went for 2 points up 21-17 ? Just curious becaue it was stupid.

Agreed. Need to think what you have to do to take the lead after the other team scores. Lions go up 22-17 (pat) and they need an FG to take the lead if AZ scores a TD. It was all moot I suppose.
