Game 1: Detroit Tigers @ LA Dodgers 4:10 MST

2 rightys get on base and the lefty strikes out badly and aj pinch hits a lefty just because he's stuck in the righty/lefty shit

Last two RISP.
O-14. Sweeny. K's badly
0-15. Keith. Why did he swing 3-1
Looked like 3-0 pitch was better. Swings at a terrible pitch pops out. He should have just taken for how badly his plate appearances were.

I'd rather have Jones, Malloy ,and or Navigato then some of these hitting turds. Live with the errors if you can hit.

Carp was more productive in his ONE at bat vs a lefty(sac fly) than Colt was in his 5 at bats 0-5. Way to go AJ
Though I agree with the bad game by Keith and not playing Carp - Keith did hit LHP well last year. If memory serves better than his RH numbers.

Yeah, I'm honestly ok with keith playing. He needs the at bats to develop. I'm just pissed that aj won't do the same with carp. Carp hit fine vs lefties in the minors and just never gets the chance now. It's maddening.

I wonder if they are just afraid Carpenter will get hurt if he plays to much ? Idk. He should be hitting verses Lhp. At least sometimes.

I agree. Even with injuries they don't play him.

The Tigers were 4-for-42 with runners in scoring position in last year's ALDS. They were 0-for-15 w/ RISP last night.

Torkelson's Opening Day unlike anyone else's in modern era.

That must be why he took four of them.
