Game 1: Vikings @ Lions Thread

LKP:

On runs over 5 yards we will have a ypc of over 5.0.

Our number 2 WR this year will be a 750 yd WR...aka he might get 46 yds in the game....yippie.

Pettigrew will have a big day. 10 catches 45 yards 4 drops. he might be a 750 yd wr this year too...hes so pro.

Stafford only throws picks on 1st and 3rd downs while the wind is going north east and west......meaning he limits his mistakes on 4th downs and leads the league on 2nd down with the wind blowing south. top 10.

Carey will lock down Jennings when delmas goes down.

Go look at Pettigrew stats since he joined the league then look at Vernon Davis's stats over the course of his career. Straight up Similar and if anything favors Grew. One year Davis's stats were incredible but he isnt as good on the block as Grew. So to still be throwing bullshit at Pettigrew is rather uneducated. He is a good player who has shown inconsistent hands but last year was more likely an anomaly with the fumbles. Expect a big year for him.

He's going to be helping Reiff a lot which may limit him. This makes Broyles/slot wr that much more important as the 'chain mover'.

I'm excited. I'll be on here after the game tomorrow to read the aftermath and or celebration.

Until then here's this:

This is hilarious. I keep watching it over and over and it just gets funnier.

LET'S GO DAMMIT!!!
If Stafford can throw the ball with 58% accuracy and limit his interceptions to just 1 then we have an awesome shot at winning this game.

No, he was playing around. Was fine once they started asking questions.

He did admit that live TV freaks him out.

I thought it was funny. Watch the whole thing.....KH gets REALLY uncomfortable. Muskberger just keeps talking, though....not nothing is wrong.

Depends if the INT is a pick 6 and if the 58% amounts to only 240 yards, @6.1 Y/A.

Injury Report

The Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions have released their final injury reports for this Sunday's season opener at Ford Field. Let's take a look at the names, starting with the visitors, the Minnesota Vikings. Lots of names on the report for our favorite football team, but only one appears to be serious.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Kevin Williams DT Knee Out
McLeod Bethel-Thompson QB Illness Probable
Chris Cook CB Groin Probable
Larry Dean LB Shoulder Probable
Sharrif Floyd DT Knee Probable
Letroy Guion DT Finger Probable
Erin Henderson LB Heel Probable
Phil Loadholt OT Knee Probable
Cordarrelle Patterson WR Back Probable
Mistral Raymond S Shoulder Probable
Harrison Smith S Back Probable

Obviously, the big name on the list is Williams, who will sit this one out. He's still feeling the after effects of the cheap shot he took in San Francisco in the third pre-season game. My guess is that Floyd starts in his place, but we'll see how Leslie Frazier and company want to play this one, what with Floyd having had his own injury issues and missing most of the pre-season. None of the other injuries appear to be anything terribly serious.

Now, on to the injury report for the home standing Detroit Lions. Their injury report is a pretty short one compared to Minnesota's.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Ziggy Ansah DE Concussion Probable
Louis Delmas S Knee Probable
Jason Jones DE Knee Probable

And that's it. . .that's the list. The Lions' injury list doesn't have a lot of names on it, but like the majority of the Vikings' list, it doesn't appear there are a lot of serious injury concerns on it.

And those are your official injury reports for Week 1 of the NFL regular season for the Vikings and the Lions, folks.

Being reported that Willie Young will start at RDE over Ansah, but Ansah is active.

No, he was just screwing around. He did that for the intro of his video and then was completely normal for the rest of the interview. It's funny though, how many people don't realize he was messing around.

Ok I'm ready, surprised at how many of the pundits are picking the lions to win today, I keep looking trying to figure out if I'm in the right dimension

I was so wrapped up in the Notre Game this week, I lost attention in the lions for a few days.

nevermind. guess i should have read the thread first.

Bush looking like a quality addition so far.
