Game 11: Vikings @ Lions *Thanksgiving* Thread

Yes. The similarities are in the numbers.
Lions 'are' good, with some luck as well.

I think we would all agree the Patriots have a bit more all-around talent and depth. and the teams they played in their schedule, is it a stronger/weaker strength of schedule?

It was not luck. Lions earned every stop and point

Lions more talented overall. Patriots had easier schedule. Browns, 49ers, eagles last year, skins, dolphins and buffalo not that good. Cincy down this year. Cards too

Lions more impressive

Lions are a great franchise. 4 NFL Championships. Really good first place team right now. 11-5 2014. 10-6 2011. A few 7-9 ref influenced seasons shouldn't damper your feelings on this current ball club.

7-4 2016, 6-2 finish to 2015. That is 13-6 in last 19 my friends. Winning team.

Talent and coaching looking good. Won 6 of last 7. 7-4

Bring on the Saints and their stud offense to test our defense.

This is not true.
They were in the 1950's with 3 of 4 titles chances but as a franchise .500 under the Fords. So you are way off. Hopefully they will continue to win this year.

13-6 in last 19. It's a fact. Same as patriots. Stop underating the lions. We won the games. All that matters. NFL is close

Ok sure. So when we lose games stop sweeping them under the rug with excuse after excuse then.

All that matters is winning right? Not how the team plays or anything else.

Why can't it be both? We're lucky and good. Good enough to win football games and lucky enough to win them the way they are. What does it matter? They're winning!!! We're in 1st place!!! I don't give 2 fucks how they win...just win, baby!!
They're making clutch plays at the right time on both sides of the ball. That's not just luck. People just get so confused about this team winning football teams and they beat themselves up over it. Even the so called experts on the NFLN are still making fun of the Lions....lol. We get no respect.

I totally agree. I'm more than happy with the position they're in. They are in charge of their own destiny, and it's up to them to take advantage of it.

We don't lose games. We win them. Like the patriots

Ref incompetence with examples is a fact

Saying they are lucky is generic bullshit with no basis and basically it's a fucking troll statement

I never said they are lucky. I said comparing a perenial loser that has almost lost every game this year, to the Patriots is laughable.

Oh, calm the fuck down, man. Nothing wrong with being a little lucky. This is still a good football team. It's not just luck that this team makes plays in clutch moments.

Saying "we don't lose games" is also a troll statement, and you know it is. I seem to recall 4 losses this year. Did I imagine those? Comparing us to the Patriots is another troll technique of trying to stir up another stupid argument, and you are successful because you're an expert at it. There is no rational person on this earth that would say we are on par with the Patriots and that includes you.

"just win that's all that matters." You said that a few posts ago. Now all of a sudden ref incompetence and your "facts" supersede that. I find that very hypocritical.

By the way um rules. My penn state is about to win big ten east. Enjoy that

13-6 is the same for pats and lions. Unless you are a troll
