It seems a hell of a lot easier to get 3 yards on offense than it does to snap the ball, the holder catches it, puts it down on the field, the FG doesn't slip, kicks the ball and makes it from 20+ yards. Plus if it gets blocked the other team probably easily scores.

Go for 2 every time today.
