Game 14 Lions @ Cardinals Thread

I tend to think of some of the lyrics to the old song "Hotel California" as being a longtime/lifetime Lions fan who thinks about quitting them, this season (after the last) being an especially VIVID example: "You can check out anytime you like, but you can NEVER leave"

Game over, blown out...and Suh gets into a running backs face with hand gestures after making an easy tackle during garbage time. Most piss-poor organization in professional sports. Call it a curse, ineptitude, lack of interest in being competitive(Ford family), whatever...there is absolutely NOTHING this organization can/will EVER do to be successful. Listening to the flagship cornbread homer DJ's on 97.1 The Ticket...oh for the days when Art Regner used to tear this whole organization a new ass. Puke.

Favorite Lions post-game quote, year after year, decade after decade..."we just gotta make plays(where's my paycheck)"...

Be serious. Every part of this organization defends the ineptitud worrye of every other part of this organization. I would only feel optimistic for next season if Ford Jr. went out on a limb AGAIN with some bold statements followed by some sort of action. Stafford plays like shit and none of the staff holds him responsible. Playcalling is shit but coach doesn't hold the coordinators responsible. Coaching and instilling discipline in the team is shit and front office doesn't hold Schwartz responsible. Gambling on second round picks has been a collosal failure up to this point but nobody holds Mayhew accountable.

Everything about this organization is wrong, and they're gonna defend that wrong and more than likely bring every part of the problem back for next year. Hell, they may even keep Titus Young Senior.

Sorry but the future doesn't look so bright with the same problems going in to next year.

Look, I'm not sure what else you have in your life but I have too many other things to worry about than a football game.

Dude, nobody is physically gonna jump off of a bridge, and I'm sure everyone has other business seeing as how none of us get paid to root for this team. It's just not fun when your favorite team sucks and it's even less fun when things don't look like they're gonna get any better.

What's that got to do with anything we were discussing? You said "be serious"? Like I'm suppose to get upset over a football game. And you couldn't understand why I don't. Its game, nothing more and we all continue to root so what's the point in getting upset like a family member just died?

I kind of am upset over it; that professionals get paid millions and repeat mistakes over and over. In the real world someone would be fired in a heartbeat. It's my choice and I didn't say what I said to imply that it was the end of the world, or that the game should bother you like it did me. And I was mad for a few minutes after the game but that was about as far as it went.

I'm not boogerlovejoy trying to start shit and fights. Especially all of us being fans of the same team, we deal with enough of every other teams' fans shit.

That's a little extreme, no? People will get upset if they win and be ecstatic when they lose. It's just part of the game and stop pretending you don't care. It's annoying. You're not a fan if you do neither...it's natural.

No its not Tony. Being bummed after a game is one thing but understanding its just a football game is completely different.

No shit? I know this. People have every right to rant and freak the fuck out if they want (win or lose). WE pay good money to see these guys every year. Now, if you're going to hang yourself or smack your old lady in the mouth after a loss, i suggest that person seek immediate counselling.

Capiche? ;)

There's actually some value in not living in the Detroit area. I don't get to see the Lions suck anymore. I'll not jump off the wagon, though. I'm in the center of it, ever vigilant that someday, things will improve with this organization.

Our dumbasses are going to beat atlanta sat night.....just to piss me off more about this season lol.

well on the plus side the team shows every indication they r capable of drafting no one and continue their winless ways next year. hey, maybe they can break their own winless streak and go 0-16 again next year! party on!!!

lions are the anti-Dolphins, popping champaigne when the last team wins a game. they might prefer going 0-16 again next year so they can open two bottles instead of one. lol

On the bright side there are some sweet lions apps available. At least now we can keep up with their collossal failure of a season in style. That first lions app i was using was the worlds worst.
