Game 14: Lions @ Giants Thread

3 points....yay.

If Caldwell wasnt such a cunt, we might've put one in the end zone or at least gotten 3. I don't know about you guys, but if we're inside the opponents 40, I like Stafford's chances on 4th and 6. At least try to draw them offsides, that puts us within Praters range

No. Not at all. Carey looking straight up at the ball and gets hit.....how is that different from hitting the PR?

He's not the PR. He is a guy that is trying to tackle the PR. You are allowed to block him.

Say the PR wanted to catch the ball, should the giants be prevented from blocking Carey because he wants to catch the ball also?

Different players get different protection.

dangerous play by him....ball came real close to hitting him then rolled into the end zone. im fine with the hit. But if it was the lions that did that to someone theyd create a new rule on the fly and throw a flag.

Odell Beckham Jr. gets credit for a catch he didn't make vs. Lions. with webvideo.

Gripes about NFL officiating aren't going to lessen after what the league let happen in the first quarter of the Detroit Lions vs. New York Giants game.

On a first-down play, Eli Manning completed a four-yard pass to Odell Beckham Jr. It was routine except for the fact that Beckham dropped it.

taht illegal hands to the face they called on us last week sat on espns front page for a couple days. Its always the lions getting the referees in trouble lol.

It's not a discussion of if they can....but if it SHOULD be legal.

Players on offense can't crack back on a defender anymore because he can't see the block coming.....but they can tee of on a gunner looking straight up at the ball???

The play that f'n ref triplette called on glasgow and it was the bears lineman?

Any one ever see an explanation for that.....besides "we're stupid"? I noticed on the weekly segment they have an NFL network for the interview Dean Blandino, they failed to address that call in his segment where he explains why bad calls are made. NFL just trying to cover his ass.

Lions have has the 18 most penalties called on them. They benefited from the 7th most. League isn't out to get them.

Smart play. But still think that rule stinks.
