This shitty season finally comes to an end.

Lions inactives: Kellen Moore, Kevin Smith, Drayton Florence, Ricardo Silva, Jason Fox, Corey Hilliard and Ronnell Lewis.
CB Ron Bartell will get the start at RCB opposite Chris Houston and DT Andre Fluellen will start at DT.
Lions may consider firing Schwartz.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday Countdown that the Ford Family is concerned enough with the current "culture" of the Lions to at least consider firing head coach Jim Schwartz.
The Lions took a huge step back in 2012, and many observers are attributing it to a loss of control at the top. Immediately after Mortensen's on-air report, one NFL executive texted to ESPN's Adam Schefter the following: "Just heard Mort on Jim Schwartz. I believe he is right. The Fords can not be happy." The Lions endured a seemingly endless string of offseason arrests, only to fall flat on their faces once the games began.
There have also been rumors of "tension" between Schwartz and GM Martin Mayhew, the latter of whom is fully expected to be safe. If it came down to it, Schwartz would lose that power struggle.

Wow. Just wow. How can anyone not pull for a loss today? What I heard was that the Lions can fall from 4th to 11th or something with a win. Ergo, the hell with the Bears...so we don't knock them out. Big deal. They're not going anywhere anyway. Thing about Schwartz is...I really liked him, but have had some reservations, especially after his silence after Megatron's TD was nullified in Chi in 2010, then the character problems, then his stupid red flagging and nullification of a review, which cost his team...then there's the stupid snap in Tenn...oh, it goes on and on...just blow 'er up and start over again, I spoze. Hell, that's the Ford way.
I still don't see Schwartz being fired. He signed an extension and last year he won 10 games and went to the playoffs. This year everything went wrong. I just don't see how you don't bring him back for another year to find out what you really have. Plus this organzization does not just quickly fire coaches. The only way he would be fired is if they already had a big name lined up for the job (Gruden or Cowher) who is immediately ready to step in. Don't hold your breath. He'll be back next year and I think he should be. Besides, when has firing coaches and picking high in the draft ever lead us going deep in the playoffs. Plenty of teams pick near the bottom of the draft every year and continue to go back to the playoffs.
