Game 16 Tigers vs. pirates April 16, 2019

Lost 4 in a row and 5 of the last 6. Water is finding it's level. Hard to win when you average just 2.7 runs per game. Only 2 times in the first 16 games have we scored 5 runs or more in a game (5 and 7 runs against the Royals). We could pick the 5 best starters in the league, put the English D on them and we'd still be struggling to win with this offense.

We talk about it quite a bit but I'm curious what the stats say about Closers' in non closer type situations.

Every Tiger starter should march right in to the manager's office and B _ _ _ _! To pitch as good as Boyd did tigers should not have lost this game! IMO,Worst managed team in baseball major down to T ball.

Why blame the manager?

Look at the lineup. They suck!

They are striking out way too much also. it's just plain bad offense

2019 DET = 39 Runs 2.44 R/G

DH-Era AL

2010 SEA = 512 Runs 3.17 R/G

1979 OAK = 573 Runs 3.54 R/G

2003 DET = 591 Runs 3.65 R/G

According to ESPN's stats (since the 2000 season) the 2010 Mariners and 2013 Marlins each scored 513 runs. We're definitely on pace to shatter that.
