Game #17: Minnesota 84 Michigan 81 Final ot

Goldin struggling tonight. A once 51-42 lead is now 51-51. Refs are letting alot of stuff happening. 10 ish left.

Goldin just cant buy a bucket in the second half.
Gayle jr has been a real liability this game. Him and Burnett combined 1-10 this game. 66-66 with 1:47 left.
Team is shoot in decent from three.

Great play Michigan takes the lead but doesn’t guard Garcia and he hits a three because no now gets out on him. Now we trial by 1.
This game is really physical.

Goldin misses front end of 1/1. Sigh. Just not out our night so far.
Poor second half. We were up 9 T one point. Maybe a tad more.
Minnesota turnover !
Wolf hits a three his 16th point of the 2nd half. Michigan up 2.
28.9 left.

I mean come on Tre was fouled. Bumped big time but not sure that was a great play. He was going so fast. We don’t even get a decent look at a shot.

Overtime.

Goldin misses yet another bunny at the rim. He is 3-13. Hits his next two (dunks) still trail. We get a stop and turn it over. Frustrating, and they promptly get a bucket. Wolf hits 2 free throws down 1 .
Burnett hits 1/2. Tie game at 78-78. 1:05 left. Now we trail by 2 with the ball. Goldin fouled and we again cant make both free throws and trail by one. 14/20 from the line tonight. Gophers hit 1..
Wolf tied game but Gophers hit a 35-40 footer at the buzzer for the
Win. Can’t leave guys that open.
Sadly in all 4 losses we have blown big leads.
Free throws and Poor defense cost Michigan tonight.
Especially in the 2nd half. They stopped guarding any three ball.

sounds like the refs called this one WAY differently than the UCLA or USC games. In those, it looked like any contact whatsoever drew a whistle.

Dusty maybe needs to coach that into them, that the game changes depending on the refs

I called this one. I just knew they were going to fuck this one. I saw that Minnesota was 0-6 in league play and said, too easy, this will be a bad loss. No more bad losses. Gotta beat the teams they're supposed to and get a good seed.
