Game #22: Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers, Sunday April 20th, 2025, 1:40 Pm

Detroit News.

The loss prevented the Tigers not only from the sweep, but also from getting a little slice of history. A win would have made them the first Tigers team in 83 years to start a season 9-1 at home. Not even the champion 1984 team, with a 35-5 start, did that.

They used a Royals misplay to break a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh and then returned the favor in the top of the eighth.

Gleyber Torres was on first with one out when first baseman Salvador Perez fielded Carpenter's ground ball. Both the pitcher, lefty Daniel Lynch, and second baseman Makail Garcia went to cover the base and Perez threw the ball right between them.

Water finds its level career .222 hitter. Already 3 hits. He isn’t getting a 4th. Im glad he is hitting this year so far. Get that runner over any way possible. Agree to disagree. At home. Play for the tie till you get a crack at winning it .. I think that makes us 0-2 in extras now.
San Diego Tomorrow!
High chance Tork wouldn't get him in from 3rd anyway. Lots of pressure. Not a knock on him its just what happens after a sac bunt. We don't even know if McKinstry would have gotten a bunt down. MLB just suck at bunting. We just went 0-3. It is what it is.

My late theory with a guy on 3rd they probably walk Tork.

LOOKING BACK – Part 3.
Totally Tigers

As many of us continue to recover from eating too many chocolate bunnies, let’s continue to have fun and look back at some polls completed by our readers. Sometimes, distance gives us a better perspective. At the very least, the overall fan response can be eye-opening.

Today, we’re going to start with February and work into March.
I’m pulling the most interesting polls. They can be in agreement with what is going on today – or they can be wildly off.

As you read through all of these, find the one that caught your attention the most and tell us about it in the comments.
These are some of the latest polls and the Tigers have already enacted some changes. Did you see them coming? There are quite a few interesting polls here in which we may want to change our votes today!

Who still gets an Easter basket? Can't be just me. My mom always gave me one, and when she passed my older sister started to make an Easter basket for me. I love Easter. Hope you all had a great day.

Easter baskets were a huge thing for us growing up. We always gave our kids one. Our youngest still lives at home, but no basket anymore. Just a gift and some of our "traditional" candy, including my favorite, Resees Eggs. We have 2 grandkids from our oldest. We give them gifts and a basket every year. My sister still puts on an Easter egg hunt for any of the kids / my grandkids that want to do it. Her kids are from 22-26 years old. Everyone does it because she puts $$$ in plastic eggs. This year there was a $20 bill in each egg. I wanted to join the hunt!
