ROARS:
Matt Boyd: Gave the Tigers 7 solid innings of work, with 4 strikeouts and three runs allowed. He walked 3 but none of those came in the fourth, the only inning in which he gave up runs.
Despite the fourth, he pitched efficiently and didn?t pass 100 pitches until after his second out in the eighth.
He finished with 102 pitches after walking Edwin Encarnacion with two outs in the eighth.

Blaine Hardy: Got the final out in the eighth and stayed on for an easy ninth with one two-out single.

HISSES:
Tigers offense: Facing Carrasco, they had a tough time scoring runs and struck out 11 times.

STREAKS AND INFO:
Ian Kinsler left the game in the top of the seventh inning with left hamstring tightness. He?ll be reevaluated on Thursday.

Matthew Boyd is the first Tigers starter to pitch into the eighth inning for 2017. He recorded two outs before walking Encarnacion in the eighth and ending his night.

NOTABLE:
After 1 1/3 scoreless innings Wednesday, Detroit's bullpen hasn't allowed a run in the past 10 1/3 innings.

Jim Adduci singled in the Tigers' first run in the fifth inning. He had two hits to bring his average up to .310 with 4 RBIs in nine games since his call-up from Triple-A Toledo.

Well hopefully the will make a fast decsions on the game tomorrow. Call it .and beat them later in the year. If it's true and a whole bunch of rain is coming we don't want them to sit for hours before flying out to the west coast.

overall, it was a good game. The only thing that got me pissed off was Miggy getting thrown out at third.

Agreed. Forecast says its supposed to rain all day today. 99% sure they won't play today.

I hate when Miggy runs into an out, but at least he's putting in effort. Kinsler falling asleep and getting picked off so often pisses me off way more.
