Game 31: Michigan State 79 Michigan 62 Final

Thankfully Howard wasn't the coach or who knows what would've happened. May quickly looked like he apologized and things cooled out quick.

It looks like he intervened immediately to prevent it from getting worse (which was the right thing to do), and yeah, Juwan Howard would've been putting Spartans in the hospital if he had been there (including eventually himself, given his heart condition) but Dusty wasn't exactly apologizing after the game (link). Sounds like nobody knew the Spartans were planning to do their tradition right at that moment.

Also, I didn't watch the game, but given the way you guys are preening about this, I thought it would look a lot different that it did. ( )

What kind of "tradition" takes place during a game on the field or court, while play is going on? We're in the process of shooting free throws when Holloman walks up and starts shoving. If he did ask them to move first, it must've been in the milisecond before he turned and walked over to shove them.

I expect that this game was over before the opening tip-off.

As for the "indecent" at half-court, I've been in far more violent fights in beer-league hockey games. Hell, I've been in more violent fights in my driveway as a 10-year-old defending the honor of my family.
the amusing thing to me is the way whenever they start thumping their chests after a win, or pretending to take the moral high ground after a loss, either the universe conspires to sink them, or they immediately step on their own dicks.

off the top of my head:

1) Spend years complaining Michigan fans are arrogant, elitist, snobs, out-of-touch, have wine and cheese party tailgates outside their quiet stadium
THEN...
2) bash people who shop at Walmart for being poor and not going to college

1) 21 year old Michigan player calls them little brother after a game
THEN...
2) entire fanbase and grown-ass man head coach proves him right by whining about the comment for the next EIGHTEEN (18) years

1) "TUCK COMIN'!" ... all the talk after their 1 score win in '21 about how Mel Tucker was "building something special," their alumns were opening up their bank accounts to take the program "to the next level" etc. etc.
MEANWHILE...
2) Mel was completely neglecting the program on and off the field, & jacking off to a sex assault victim on zoom calls with her, which would eventually lead to his firing, and the program sinking to "below average" tier in the Big Ten

1) Cry about Michigan being sore winners and fighting on the field (even though that's something that only happens with their SORE LOSER program... and I guess OSU when they lose to us now)
THEN...
2) thump their chest because Holloman walked up and started a fight with two UM freshmen standing near their giant oversized Spartan logo during the game.

sbee? or maybe Johnny? they only post here when MSU is doing well
I'll take it easy on you. I know you're going through it right now. Can't imagine what its like to see osu win a football natty and msu winning conference titles in basketball and hockey. Seems somes poetic justice going on lately.

I can't speak for MC, but I can say that Michigan beating OSU in the regular season, in Columbus, and for the fourth consecutive season, more than compensates for OSU winning the D1 NCAA football tournament that was far less challenging than the regular season was. And I can say with assurance that many OSU players will carry that plank in their eye of losing to Michigan (or NEVER beating Michigan) for the rest of their lives and the salve of the National Championship will never alleviate that perpetual irritation. As for MSU winning the basketball and hockey titles, I say well done, my valued and esteemed sister institution.

Ah, well, that's what you think because your team has never won a national title in our lifetimes. I'm still more than happy we won in 2023, and with winning four in a row against OSU.

You guys have a really good team this year, and proved it on the court. but I don't get that wrapped up in basketball, and even less so in hockey, so it's not upsetting to me that you guys won those. I'm happy for you.

Oh, that win was so satisfying, and I agree 100%. Being a huge dog like that, and then clobbering them on their own field and having them lose their minds after was fantastic.

Having Davis Warren - a walk on - walk OFF their field with a win over their ****y high-priced transfer QB was something. That was the highest priced team in college football, and they lost to their biggest rival... it's nice to know money can't buy EVERYTHING. We get so few reminders of that these days.

I didn't think we'd finish the season with 5 losses, but I knew we'd have a lousy year after everything we lost in 2023, especially our coach. But we finished the season strong. Beating Alabama with a bunch of 2nd and 3rd string guys was icing on the cake. It's a good sign for 2025, at least.

Anyone outside of Ann Arbor knows that's a lame take
Unless the programs involved are Michigan and Michigan State and it was Michigan State that beat Michigan during the regular season and Michigan won the national championship.
