right. Based on the quality of the players on the three teams, I think the Indians and MN will play above their current pace and the Tigers will very likely play at the same level (.440 ball) or worse.
Let's make a friendly wager. I will bet you $20 that the Indians finish above .500, the Tigers finish under .500 and the Tigers finish 3rd or worse in the division. If all three of those things come true you owe me $20. If one of them don't happen, I'll send you $20.
I'm not saying who will win the the division but there's no guarantee. Why not just enjoy it instead of "NO WAY we can't possibly." 2006 should tell you that.
CLE, MIN and DET have not played the same teams, nor the same percentage of the same teams.
VS less than .500
CLE 16-9 (25) .640 WPCT
MIN 11-11 (22) .500 WPCT
DET 18-18 (36) .500 WPCT
vs Central
MIN 7-3 (10) .700 WPCT
CLE 10-5 (15) .667 WPCT
DET 11-13 (24) .458 WPCT
Top Quality Starts Teams (all the current top 6 playoff teams)
1. HOU
2. CLE
3. NYY
4. BOS
5. LAA

I'm not sure what this has to do with our discussion.
