Max Clark is your FSL Player of The Week! In 5 games Max had 9 hits in 20 at bats (.450 batting average), 5 runs scored, 9 RBI, 5 walks, 2 doubles, 1 home run and 4 stolen bases. Max now leads the Florida State League in runs scored (30) and RBI (30)

Manning probably coming up again for the doubleheader. It has to be tough to have that irregular a schedule.

Parker Meadows has been doing well in Toledo since his demotion .296 .394 .987

Would have been Flaherty but right now there is no penciled in starter for game two.
It would seem to make more sense to keep him in tomorrow rather than Manning, rather than pushing Flaherty back a day.

MLB ERA leaders since Aug. 28, 2023:
1. Reese Olson -- 1.76
2. Tarik Skubal -- 1.88

When the Tigers score 5 or more runs, they have the best record in MLB.
When the Tigers score fewer than 5 runs, they have the WORST record in MLB.

Javier Baez is hitting .417 with runners in scoring position this season.

I heard on the radio over the weekend that the Tigers are
14th in offense on the road in mlb.
27th in offense at home in mlb.

That was Saturday I think.

FWIW I've been swamped at work and the game threads have fallen off the radar. Thanks to Mitchrapp (and others?) for picking up the ball.

No off day this week so they don't want skubal or Flaherty to pitch on short rest. I kinda get it. Manning can't pitch yet because he hadn't reported to toledo yet so they can't bring him right back. So instead they bring up a guy that hasn't even made it 5 innings in a start in the minors this year. Montero

Skubal better be on today or we could see some position players pitching

Maybe it's a clock-starting situation? Malloy is not on the 40-man roster.
Surprised he's not on the 40. Imo, 24 year olds should be in the majors. Assuming they're playing well in the minors. With an injury I would have brought him up..
