Game 6 Tigers vs. whitesox April 5, 2018

Wow that was much later in April than I thought

April 22, 1984 – Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox

This is the most recent game I found where the Tigers played while being affected by the snow. The Tigers defeated the Chicago White Sox 9-1 and completed a 3 game sweep of the Sox after a 90 minute snow delay. This made the Tigers 12-1 after their 9-0 start in route to their 35-5 start on the way to the World Series title. Interesting note, the White Sox, who were in the AL West at the time, were managed by Tony LaRussa.

Why do people bother blowing on thier hands in the cold it really doesn’t help, if anything it prolly makes it worse cuz your exposing it to warm cold warm cold shock theorpy

What’s even goofier is when you see guys with batting gloves on doing that LOL

It’s been about 34 years since I can last recall seeing the tigers play a game in snow an early April game in 83 or 84 I think, also againts the White Soxs

I remember snow in June - in Michigan. 10-12 years ago or thereabouts. Maybe not snow but flurries.

Tigers go down 1-2-3 in top 6th...as does the Sox in the bottom of the inning vs Norris, still 6-3.

Nicky singles, 2 out and VMart comes through w/rbi double!!

7-7

Jimenez sets the Sox down 1-2-3 in bottom 9th...into extras on a cold spring evening.
