Game 8: Lions @ Raiders Thread

Sigh. Defense just stinks. Need a few lucky turnovers.

How? Unless we punch a few out we aren?t going to cause pressure....so the chance of getting a pick are slim.

I say we get 0 turnovers and 1 coverage sack today.

1 quarter in and we haven?t even come within 5 yards or Carr. No joke.

Kennard! Are you fucking allergic to sacks? How did you fucking miss him? I dont think that throw made it back to the LOS either....shouldnt that be a flag?

Can Sam Martin even get it to the endzone?
They purposefully leave it short of the endzone. Statistically they have forced their opponents into the worse starting field position off of kickoffs in the nfl. So it's a choice that more often than not has been paying off.

The dline is only good when theyre in a 4 down lineman set. Why they refuse to use a base 4 down set is the dumbest thing ive ever seen.

first time ive seen a defense as bad as ours lol. no pressure is weird. dont run the rest of the game.

Throw just about every play.

Use it to set up all running plays.

We?re getting good gains when we don?t hold. Johnson could easily get 100 today.....but we might have to score 45 to win so he won?t get enough carries

I still hate the idea of it, and I still don't think Martin has the leg to get it deep into the endzone either, lol

ill say it again...this offense looks so much better under Bevell. Stafford throwing deep again is refreshing...last year that was a 3 yard check down instead of a 40 yd TD.

Trading Tate then losing Jones had alot to do with last year too

bend bend bend..dont get off the field on 3rd down....break defense. Smart.

Martin has no problem getting it out the back of the endzone and does it when they ask him to but be skies it on kickoffs and gives guys plenty of time to get down there. It bothered me too until i saw the stats at how effective it's been.
