Game 8 Tigers vs. royals April 4, 2019

Trumbull?s 10 k?s ties the Detroit Record since 1914 Jean Dubuc beat the St Louis Browns 3-2 in 13 innings.. He pitched 12.1 innings and Hooks Dauss came in and ended up getting the win lol.

Crazy game Browns scored 2 in the top of the thirteen and the tigers walked it off with a three spot!

Tidbit
Dubuc was found to have guilty knowledge of the Black Sox scandal. Hey he was the scout who signed Tebetts and Greenberg !

Wtf I are they doing on that 0-2 count. Fuck that was awful. Glad it didn’t bite them in the butt!

again fu merrifield,

Tigers win 5 - 4.

Hardy with the win.
Another Save for Greene.

If Minnesota loses tonight the Tigers should be in a virtual tied for first, right?

I think we would still be in 2nd place.

With today?s outcome the Tigers are right now a half game back. If the Twins lose tonight they would be .667 and the Tigers are now at .625.

But neither would be any games ahead nor behind or the other.

A virtual tie.

Anyway we?ll see what happens.

Like everybody I am happily surprised at how the Tigers have started the season.

About 5% of the season down, about 95% left to go.

Miguel Cabrera notches first RBI of season, is just fine thank you.
Concerns about Cabrera?s early season struggles might be premature.

Tigers are 5-3. It's the first time since May 5, 2017, that the team has been two games over the .500 mark.
Detroit won its Comerica Park opener for the 10th time in 11 years and the 13th time in 20 openers at this park.

Cabrera also picked up his first RBI of 2019, on a first-inning single as the Tigers took an early 2-1 lead. Only twice in his career has Cabrera ever taken more than three games to get his first RBI of the season ? in his ninth game in 2017, and his eighth in 2019.
It was Cabrera's 1,636th career RBI, tying Mr. Cub Ernie Banks for 32nd all-time.

Was watching the game and working today. We ended up with just 6 hits today. Seemed like it was more than that but I must have confused that with the 7 walks.

Tigers Den Roundtable: Which Tigers player has surprised you the most so far this season?
The Bless You Boys staff debates who has been the most surprising Tigers player early on in 2019.

For me;
In a positive way, Zimmermann, Boyd, most all the pitching, Goodrum,
In a negative way, most of the offense.
