Gattis + Harbaugh = RichRod 2.0?

I didn't say for sure they did, just that would've been a worst case scenario. but even if not, two coaches leaving like that for OSU shows discontent on the staff.

We saw a similar thing happen in 2015. Score at halftime 14-10... OSU outscored us in the 2nd half 28-3. Durkin leaves to take the MD job a week later. Who knows what actually transpired, but it's clear Durkin was on his way out, and a couple players trashed him later on for the way he left them that week, without mentioning more. Definitely affects the team's performance.

To claim in hindsight, "Well, see the problem is our offense" is stupid.

also, Al Washington had ties to OSU through his dad. i think he played or coached there. or something like that.

I know you're not saying that, I'm just saying it's extremely unlikely as a worse case scenario. I'd be surprised if either of them even talked to OSU before the regular season was over. I think those jobs get filled pretty quickly. It's not like a head coach search, for coordinators or position coaches everyone knows everyone so it can happen pretty quickly especially if you're looking for an established guy and when you're a winning program like OSU. it's probably a lot tougher for the Dantonios and those down the ladder to pull something like that off - it's actually probably near impossible for someone like Dantonio to hire that kind of guy. Like in recruiting, he has to find the overlooked, up and comer or osu reject like Bollman - obviously neither is working out too well for him when it comes to the coaches on the offensive side.

It's not just the offense. I'm shocked harbaugh not only hasn't been more successful but that the program is in the state it is in his 5th year - probably a fairly widely shared opinion here.

Not as amazing as you are recycling old, fallow, well-known ideas. You get that one about OSU learning from IU's success the week before from Vickers, or Gordon Wood?

ah, because nothing ever gets said more than once on a sports board, you guys just have one original idea after another - has nothing to do with your hypersensitivity to anything a Spartan fan might say. Got it.

I actually got the idea over a year ago watching the IU vs. uofm game. If I'm not mistaken, after the game one of the announcers or maybe one of the in studio analysts said something like, "The Indiana Hoosiers have just given the rest of the B1G the blueprint for beating this michigan defense." And sure enough, as you know, a week later OSU made them look like an 8 man high school team.

I "kinda" think we are all thinking the same thing at the same time, too. This ain't our first Michigan season.

I noticed there's no line posted for the RU game so I looked and quickly saw why w/ all the key player injuries. which shoulder did Patterson injure?
