What?
You give them their human rights, water food etc. But as far as other rights, they're freakin terrorists and shouldn't get the same rights as you or me.

well, if they're terrorists, try them based on the evidence and convict them of it. whatever "it" may be.
if not, release them. that's what is required by the Constitution. that's what governs us.
that don't make no sense.
It does not matter whether I know or not. If you really think that I don't know BTW - you are way more ignorant than I ever took you to be. Are you somehow thinking that if I really didn't know - I couldn't just type it in Google to come up with an answer? As always your response is just more Thumber garbage.
At the very least, someone able to comment (rightly or wrongly) on the Constitution's Bill of Rights has shown more education than you.
. . . but you keep weeping for our education system over some completely stupid reasons. There are real problems with our system, but this does not represent one of them.
Yeah Thumb. But these people are terrorists. They have no rights, retain them as long as possible, charged or uncharged.
Constitution is outdated. When it was put together it had no idea what Terrorism would become..So basically fuck em. Kill em all I say.
the Constitution restricts the power of the United States government; it doesn't apply only in regards to U.S. citizens.
The Supreme Court has held that the criminal protections in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution apply to "persons" not citizens.
the argument that the U.S. government can simply pluck someone from a foreign country and cage them in a prison cell indefinitely is not only legally and factually wrong, it's morally bankrupt.
Use that argument the next time someone screams about their second amendment rights guaranteeing them the right to own a high capacity assault rifle.
Or is it only outdated when it suits your argument?
Terrorist suits my argument. The only thing I brought up..THEY SHOULD HAVE NO RIGHTS.
Terrorist suits my argument. The only thing I brought up..THEY SHOULD HAVE NO RIGHTS.
Presumption of guilt, without a trial, and evidence presented how do you say they have no rights?
That's a slippery slope Mitch, today people use it for terrorists tomorrow it will be other crimes.
What separates us (or whats supposed to) from barbaric governments is the due process of law, throw that out the window and we are no better than Iran was when they held our embassy staff hostage.
Nothing in this reply is even close to a logical argument.
You called Me out, now put up or shut up.
How many bombings did our embassy staff plan and execute? Due process? The U.S. government is already bouncing drones off the noggins of suspected terrorists. Makes me wonder why the government just doesn't line up all the prisoners in Gitmo and shoot them.
Nothing that you reply ever comes close to a logical argument. I called you out because you made a stupid comment trying to be snarky. Good for you.
BTW you are an amateur at laying down bait in a post.
This is what is making you weep for our education system?
. . . because somebody made a comment about who the Constitution is designed to protect?
Really?!?

This is the best you have? After all this:
You have offered no opinion on the subject other than to complain about mine, offered up an incoherent response, and then accuse me of baiting which is the only thing you showed up in this thread for (since you're not discussing the topic) and you aren't even doing well at it.
First off, what the embassy staff did or didn't due is irrelevant to this discussion, it's about what the government accused them of without allowing them to defend themselves, speak to council, etc.
And second point, I don't think there is any question that how the government is handling the situation has been terrible for years, drone attacks included.
How many bombings did our embassy staff plan and execute? Due process? The U.S. government is already bouncing drones off the noggins of suspected terrorists. Makes me wonder why the government just doesn't line up all the prisoners in Gitmo and shoot them.
then Halliburton's subsidiary, KBR Root, won't get to keep billing the Feds $800,000 - $900,000 per prisoner, as well as other boondoggles to build or upgrade facilities, tennis courts, soccer fields and video arcades, etc. for the camp staff.
