Goodbye Delmon and Valverde

Romo seemed to do just fine with his one pitch. Well 2 if you count the fast ball. If you were a righty, you knew a slider was coming to the outside of the plate, yet no one could hit him.

Romo was a 3 pitch guy, Fastball, Slider, Splitter.

Good riddance I say.

People can say what they want about how Delmon did in the postseasons, but 162 game regular season of suck trumps that. Plus, he's a hack, a dirtbag, and a racist and I'm happy to see him go.

Valverde had a nice run for a while, but a 1 pitch pitcher can't be used in pressure situations anymore, too easy to sit on a fastball you KNOW is coming.

I agree... Big time hack..

Don't confuse Romo's success with the Tigers offensive complete lack of plate discipline and or strike zone expansion. Was that there Giants pitching staff really that good to put up the kinda numbers they did in this here 2012 WS.

IMO absolutely not.

Romo get three calls in his three appearances and the pitches were not that far off the plate.

Delmon Young underwent ankle surgery on November 10 to remove bone spurs, as well as smooth out bone and cartilage.
Young is expected to be 100 percent by mid-February, so he should be on a pretty normal schedule for spring training. The 27-year-old is a free agent this winter after batting .267/.296/.411 with 18 home runs, 74 RBI and a .707 OPS for the American League champion Tigers.

so that's why he ran like he had a load in his pants.
