Goodbye schwartz

Coaching staff was a big reason why sack numbers were low.

Playing corners 8-10 yards off, running dine stunts does not give them enough time to make a play. We we destroyed by short quick passes.

I think they had to do that with the CBs. Not the best press CBs. Plenty of regular pass rush. They got pressure consistently just didn't finish enough with sacks.

Close but no cigar. 34 turnovers screwed him but the D could have made a few more plays for sure. 33 sacks won't cut it with this Dline and a few too many big long pass plays and runs despite solid overall D.

How could the turnovers screw him? They were all flukes! Didn't they watch the film?

The problem I see, another bad year so they decide to get rid of Mayhew after 2014 then new GM wants his own coach..

Ownership must've thought Mayhew was doing his job while Schwartz was lacking. I can't completely disagree with that either. I don't think Mayhew has been amazing, but this team should've been able to make the playoffs this year.

So long Gym Shorts, now please for the love of Gaawd do NOT go and hire shanahan

Go get Gruden out of the booth it would be a win a win, Stafford would end up with a QB Coach in Gruden whether he wants one or not!

Well they kept Millen for 8 years and it took an 0-16, I expect 3 more years of crap with a Mayhew firing after 2016 with the future current coach.

I'd even take Jay Gruden. He's made a stud out of Dalton this year and you'd get the whole family.

I think mayhew has been adequate. He bears some responsibility for the talent on the team. It was up to schwartz to win the games

I still think we are the third most talented team in the division. Last draft may have saved him.

I thought they were bad luck.

Some are, some aren't. Durham fumble for instance and Calvin off his hands pick. Flukes.

The new coach will look like a genius if they fix turnovers but it's really up to Stafford and Bush. And Bell too, 4 fumbles and 3 lost.

Losing Jeremiah Washburn could be bad. 23 sacks in over 600 attempts with a new Oline.

He should get blamed for many bust picks as well. We have some super studs, an average #1 QB, some solid players, some bad players and crap depth.

I initially wanted to disagree... But if we got a legit #2 WR I think we would be an easy #2. On paper we're frightening, especially up front, but schemes and the line just didn't pan out. Should be exciting next year.

Weird how much love they're getting as the best destination for a new head coach

I think so too. Jeffery is too good a number 2 right now to put us over the Bears and the Defensive side of the ball for both teams offset.

I don't mind Mayhew staying. He has a talented team. the problem is discipline and that fault always lands on the coaches' heads.

I'm getting sick of them saying Stafford is very talented. He had one solid year and came back with two less than average years. I'll be shocked if he improves over 2013 unless the new coach keeps him to 20 passes or less.
