GOP scandal machine swings into full power

Partisan politics and second term scandals.

wrong, and wrong. it's being reported in other sources as well as salon.

? - My comment referred to what did or did not happen in previous administrations vs this one. Do I care it was reported in "salon". Not hardly.

the reference to salon was obviously directly at Tinsel's comment.

I know you don't read salon; in your mind is a strict dichotomy between things that agree with your worldview and those that don't. any sources that don't are dismissed out of hand. So you don't need to remind me that you don't care about any articles coming from www.salon.com/...

to the extent you agree that targeting journalists that critically report on the defense industry, pentagon, or the federal government's increased powers of surveillance at the expense of public privacy is a bi-partisan issue, in which both parties are equally supportive of and equally guilty, and therefore neither would seriously challenge the secret seizure of the AP's phone records - the only real abuse of power that occurred in any of these scandals - you are correct.

Bingo.

As far as salon - it isn't specifically due to its contents or political lean - I just don't get as much out of it and it really doesn't provide anything I can't get in other places.

. . . and when you start talking about dismissing news sources out of hand that disagree with your worldview, you are one to talk.

This administration is one big disaster...keep defending them...the OP certainly is hardcore

If this administration is a big disaster, what does that make the previous one? A colossal disaster? An epic disaster? A Clarkstonian disaster?

I was just gonna quote that same post...this part:

...the OP certainly is hardcore

That amused the hell out of me, for some reason...

Remember: Kid Rock has since abandoned the GOP. the board had a thread about it.

Not sure what this is all about.. I geuss you can't defend obama.

Some of us are here with neither the intent to defend Obama, nor attack him.

Hardcore MichChamp is here to partly to attack Obama though, he's the one who posted the link to the article about the phone wire tapping scandal.

Selective reading on your part; there was some asshole that used to post on this board that had that same tendency; he stopped posting here shortly after he showed himself to be a punk and cheat and a liar and a scumbag when he welched on a bet he had made on this board that Romney would beat Obama last November.

What is that in bold...is that some fancy French pate like the kind they make on the cooking channel?

spell check is a communisss plot to undermine the fonetick spelling practiced by our freedom-loving fronteer forfathers, and force us into the standards imposed on us by tyrannical teachers and ivory tower university types.

he don't use it.

tsmith is kinda like HighStreet from the old ESPN board, in a lot of ways.

Remember how HighStreet started using alternate handles, and when everybody called him out, he pretended he didn't know what they were talking about?

I'm inclined to propose a ....wager.

What about a pool? A pool about when tsmith will welch on his next cyberbet?

Should we just make it a $10 buy in, really just something for fun?

Everyone can send the winner a sawbuck when a winner is established. If everyone plays, it'll be enough for a fairly nice dinner or booze for a football party.

If we're all agreed, I'm in for ten bucks, and I'll predict November of 2014.
