Couldn't agree more Tony.

It's not about wrong or right. It's about giving talented guys one more chance that they deserve after 2011. They proved something in 2011. 2012 they severely underachieved. It's happened to Lions fans before. If you're giving up on this team already before free agency and the draft even happens, you might as well take a break until Mayhew is gone. But if they win this year, that may be awhile. If they lose this year, then you can say you're right and nobody will care that you were right because everyone will be pissed.

Or they'll go 6-10 or 7-9 the koolaide drinkers will say they are on the right track and Mayhew will get a 10 year extension from Ford and it will be Millen Redux. I mean as long as we're going over all possible scenarios. I'm curious what is an acceptable season for some of you next year?

Playoffs is acceptable. 9-7 and just miss them Mayhew will probably get a pass though.

First you have William Clay Ford. 0-16 and there's no guarantee Mayhew gets let go.

9 or 10 wins.

Anything less, barring injuries or suspensions, Schwartz should be let go. Based on TEAM performance.

Then you take into consideration if the 2012 and the 2013 draft picks contributed at all. No more FUTURE players. If not, Mayhew needs to be on the hotseat. And i'm a Mayhew backer..

at this point id be surprised to even see us field a finished product as far as the starting defense goes. Its a rough schedule....at this point id have to go with an optimistic 6 wins. If mayhew has a good offseason it might change to a solid 6-7 wins. I don't see a bunch of new guys coming in and clicking right away enough to push us into playoff contention. And on the other hand if we just resign all the people we had then I don't thin theyre talented enough to make a playoff push. Id grab some new blood and throw them to the fire and try to be a hero if I was mayhew. Grabbing the same guys and getting the same result is the road to unemployment.
