Provided the injuries are behind him, it looks like greenwood will be getting far more consideration as a starter and shut down corner next year. His performance last week has really made people take notice. Look for him to have another solid game vs Vikings and he then starts next year. His raw athleticism is becoming refined and he is about to become the next revis, even better chance of that with new DC.

It's Christmas, not April fools.

I'm not even sure if Greenwood played the entire 2nd half. Sure, I think he played fine the small amount of time he was in, but he has a long ways to go before we can definitively say anything about him. But I think he could turn out to be a solid corner if he gets some more game time (starting against the Vikings) and good coaching (who knows who that'll be in a week).

Greenwood played 44 snaps. Gave up 3 catches for only 9 yards. Average run D, very good coverage. Good start but doesn't prove anything.

If Mathis and Houston are back though, he won't play Week 17 per the great and powerful Schwartz.

Cunningham is in love with this kid, Aaron Berry 2.0

he probably deserves the start over craphouston and crapmathis. he wont get it though cause our team is dumb...

Greenwood blows.....all I said is he deserves the start over Houston and Mathis.....who both suck ass too.

Houston we have a problem should never see the field again -- oh that's right we extended him.

greenwood will be just fine. he will only get better and last week he showed he is able to hang. he is physical enough to finally play the type of CB role we have been asking for decades, get on the line and physically knock the WR out of the play before he gets 5 yards. he seriously showed the potential to be a Revis level CB, if some of you don't see it that way yet, I can understand the apprehension and doubt, just saying it will be nice when he gets more development and proves the doubters wrong. guy was tight on every play last week, and for that to happen on 40+ snaps is impressive for a guy who just got to see his first real action. sure he will get burned from time to time, Revis has too, but the tightness of the coverage and quick tackle after catch for minimal YAC...very impressive. cheap version of Revis, which this team desperately needs. QBs will continue to test him, but that's a good thing for his development. next year he should start, year after he should be getting major props from everyone, even the current haters. many highly talented guys have taken untraditional paths to Pro Bowl level of play in NFL, Greenwood will be that guy for the Lions.

Can you send me a batch of that egg nog zyxt?

it's not the egg nog, it's the gallon of Kraken I poured into the 16 oz egg nog that is important! one might ask why not just drink the Kraken straight, but I'm trying to be a little festive!!! :D

I think what hes trying to say is...when greenwood doesn't have a bellybutton infection that lasts 2 years.....he can play better than Houston. Not exactly sure if that's good...but whatever....

Nice! I gotta try that. Might hit up the liquor store for some Kraken tonight.

I hope Greenwood turns out. Wouldn't be the first guy our coaches/staff misjudged their talent. Like Hughes said though I'm not expecting much. Houston, uggg...don't even get me started on that gutless gimp.

I realize I'm dreaming, but it's the pre-offseason, the time to dream BIG

Put a poster of Justin gilbert over your bed....not greenwood!

I'm coming around on Dennard as well. Still early but I'm hoping for Watkins. Him CJ Bush Bell and Bill O'Brien as our coach and we would put up 50 a game.
