I'm still a Liberal and still disagree with 95% of what you believe. And I will still vote blue no matter who wins. It's the lesser of two evils for me.

I just don't want to give the wrong impression.

naw it's probably closer to 50% than 95%

Instead of race baiting, Moore should get out there and focus on the greed and crony capitalism and how flint is ultimately the by-product of crap trade agreements like nafta and gatt. Isn't that what made him famous in the first place? he should go back to his roots. My fav alternative news site had reporters on the ground covering flint and they were shocked how run down the place is and thought they were in a third world country. Like yeah no shit been that way for years, go ahead expand the crap globalization trade to the TPP, fast track it all watch how fast it spreads throughout the rest of the country.

But hey ignore all that, just get everyone fighting with each other over race and inequality, demonize the police every chance you get, let Nazi sympathizer soros backed groups try to start a civil war, demand everything be free and just keep right on believing that a Jebra, Shillary cackle is going to change anything for the better, Establishment, greed, crap unfair so called free trade and cronyism must go, the econ is on the brink of unmitigated disaster resulting from all the greed and global garbage, peoples are losing their jobs left and right, real unemployment is 23 bageebus percent! guest workers? hogwash don't need any. open borders lower wages, peoples are pissed and fed up with all the bullshit, this is why guys like Sanders and Trump have so much support, peoples are mad as hell, peoples are awakening, and that's a good thing!

:End Rant

so basically you guys are okay with admitting there are problems out there, problems liberals call attention to: poisoned drinking water, a corrupt emergency manager law, police abuse and corruption, etc. And you're okay with efforts to fix these problems, but NOT if anyone points out the glaring racial disparities inherent in them: arrest & conviction rates, police killings, the use of emergency managers in majority black areas, etc. if someone does that, you guys are completely off the bandwagon.

So the only reason an Emergency Manager was appointed was in order to pump poison into the homes of black people. Got it.

Just curious though...were the white people given lamb's blood or something to put over their faucets and miraculously prevent the poison from entering their lives?

I'm jot saying that at all, vaginabreath

This is you assuming that everything that happens in minority neighborhoods is solely based on race.

The Emergency manager law needs to go. I see the intent - to help fix local budgets to try to fix the future for those cities. However, it's a huge smack in the face of democracy. I don't quite see how you made this a racial issue. Flint is 40% white.

And police abuse. Again, this is not an issue about black lives. It happens to white people too. Last year, this 90lb white girl was body slammed by a white cop. It was mentioned once on CNN and that was that. Yet, when a cop flipped over a black student's desk while trying to remove her from class, it was news for weeks. Everyone was so angry! How dare he!

This country is about equal opportunity. With hard work, you can accomplish anything. Look at Obama. The guy was dirt poor and came from nothing. Still, the poor have the highest hill to climb and maybe that's unfair, but the hill is just as high for poor whites as it is for poor blacks. The only people who don't understand that are BLM and their followers. And that kind of dishonesty not only pisses me off, but it also sets us back further from our intended goal. That is why I constantly talk about those people.

What do you think is the biggest reason emergency managers are needed in "majority black areas"?

The problem BLM wants to address is real. I just don't think anybody knows what to do about it. Racial bias has a significant, measurable impact on lots of things. Screaming in Bernie Sanders face or blocking highways probably isn't going to help, but what would? How do you change things to reduce the inequalities (which still exists when you control for wealth)? I don't know, but I do believe denying there is a problem is part of the problem.

Only the Jews.

The rest of them, their first born sons got the poison and died.

sorry, guess I mistook this as your support for the things coming out of the BLM camp.

1. Poisoned water - sent to all races and economic groupings

2. Corrupt emergency manager law - is extremely concerning; however, the governance is over all races and economic groupings.

3. Police abuse and corruption - pretty sure everyone has been against police abuse and corruption, and recognize how blacks have had disproportionate focus from police. That said, blacks are not the sole group to experience police abuse, therefore the preference of many is to say All Lives Matter instead of Black Lives Matter...because to single out only the black community in that way is less productive than being inclusive of all the groups who suffer from police abuse and corruption. The problem is bigger than just what is happening to the black community. So, should they isolate themselves by saying BLM, or should they pursue a more inclusive way of bringing a change to the problem. Activists always want the black community to be included equally with all the other groups, and rightfully so...but that also means demonstrating a willingness to include the others with them. They cannot proclaim they just want to be equal members of society and then separate themselves out with something like BLM. You either are "inclusive with" or "separate from" others, it is impossible to be both. I'd rather they be inclusive with, but the BLM activists need to understand that being inclusive means not being separate.

Is it not yet time for everyone to write in "HUMAN" when asked their race? Or is that too progressive still?

Glad someone caught it. ;)

Isn't it time for the entire thing that happened with Flint to be blamed on the Jews? They are a first rate historical scapegoat.

I agree! There is a problem! It's just not racial in nature.

Is there racial bias? Of course. Does it belong in the Flint argument? Hell no. Does it belong in the police abuse issue? Sure, on a case by case basis. I've yet to see any of these abuse/shooting cases be a true race issue. I see police abuse of power, which is a big problem. Because, again, this shit is happening to ALL races.

Address the problem, not the myth.

I'll give you an analogy. The news keeps showing priests who abuse young white boys. Over and over again, it's all I see on TV.

I don't do my homework and totally ignore the fact that they've been abusing all races. I start a white boys matter movement. We go into libraries, public spaces, government buildings, schools, etc. and scream WHITE BOYS MATTER and KILL THE PRIESTS! We terrorize non white people and force them to say our stupid chant. If they don't, we call them filthy black bitches.

Now, how long would it take for the rest of America to demonize our movement as racist and terroristic?

Address the problem, not the myth. That's all I want.

If we're talking strictly law enforcement incidents, I think cameras (specifically body cameras) and other recording devices could solve (or at least give some insight into) any perceived injustice. There's no reason not to have every tool available to oversee a service that we put money into, with the technology available today there should never be any guessing or unknowns in these situations. With proper recording, not only does it expose bad cops from abusing their power but it also protects good cops from false/exaggerated accusations. There should never be two sides to the story with law enforcement incidents, we should be able to see and hear what happened and judge for ourselves.

I don't think this is too idealistic, but who knows. I think it would at least be a step forward towards eliminating inequality.

Back to Sanders, I got to say he has a lot better sense of humor that I ever noticed when I didn't see him on television as much as he's been on TV these days.

Unless things have changed, the Democrats have an open primary in California so I could vote for Sanders against Clinton if I wanted to, just like I voted for Obama against Clinton 2008.

Yeah. I think it's a good move...as long as you can keep the Chicago PD from tampering with them (they are.)

And I agree with Monster. The Flint thing isn't racial. I guess it would be better to just point out MC's strawman. Nobody is flipping their opinion on Flint being a problem we need to fix as soon as you bring race into it.
