As much as i don't like/want him, i think cespedes will be at least two wins better than Hunter given that hunter only had .3 fWAR last year and cespedes' lowest fWAR in his 3 years is 2.2. Im not optimistic for more than that though.

Let's look at this from Cespedes' POV. He's on a new team, and in a contract year. Solid defender, great arm. I expect at least a 2 win advantage over Hunter, with possibly up to 4 or 5 more, considering Hunter was merely average.

just another reason this organization is in this situation. I wonder if they were cutting corners elsewhere because they were spending so much on player salary. Cutting corners on medical, fitness and player development.

I doubt they were cutting corners on medical.. A family that's just completely loaded it makes no sense. It's not just us, how many sports figures you hear after the season - "I've been hurt all year." "I've been playing with a busted rib all year." etc.. Maybe these teams should know but it's not always easy ..
