Hey ESPN insiders...

When the pressure was the strongest, the last half of the season, Stafford imploded. He just needed to get this team one damn win and he couldn't.

Backup weapons(Durham), drops and 15 fumbles lost hurt Stafford. Plus Calvin limited or missing Week 16/17 and Week 5. Bad pass pro Week 5 and Week 17. Poor run game at Arizona, at Pack, Cincy game, at Philly and at Minnesota.

Stafford played well but his numbers didn't reflect that. Not every pick his fault and some picks he shouldnt have been put in a bad position (at Pit after two drops, first Giants pick by Tuck after bogus penalty and last Burleson pick (after st/d blew a game winning drive). And tipped ball for first Ravens pick and ball of Calvins hands were not his fault. That's 5 of his 10 picks in 4 losses that aren't on Stafford. Stafford was our offense (27 points at Pit, 3 TDs against Tampa, game winning TD against Ravens) and got screwed by the circumstances.

10 TDs and 12 INTs during the 1-6 finish

10 TDs and 12 INTs during the 1-6 finish

10 ints in 4 losses. Just like 2011. The 2 against GB he scored 40 points and won. 9 ints in wins, don't really matter in the end.

And like I said. Only 5 of those 10 ints in 4 losses were really his fault. Bad pass pro 2 losses (no picks thrown), bad run games certain games (no picks thrown in any of those 5 losses) and 15 fumbles lost (most not Stafford). And you have drops and Durham and others not getting separation.

Stafford was the lowest reason why we finished 1-6. He's the reason we were even close in the 6 losses.

there is a lot of blame to go around but if the games are close and your QB sucks you are NOT going to win. Stafford sucked down the stretch....AGAIN!

He didn't suck. He made a ton of plays. Ravens game winnining TD, 3 TDs against Tampa, huge day 27 points and fake fg at Pittsburgh. He had 362 yards against Pittsburgh. Philly game took out both QBs with weather. Up to running game and Waddle/Bush were hurt so we couldn' run. McCoy did.

Giants game he made plays in the first half but there was a sack to end a drive, Bush fumble and then the bogus penalty that led to a great play pick by Tuck and a fg drive. Nothing Stafford could do. He played well enough to score more than 3 points in that half. Second half a good 17 points with some help too (Ross and safety). But Stafford did his job. OT there was a drop and penalty on Dickerson.

at Vikings game no Calvin/Pettigrew, bad pass pro(5 sacks) and no run game. It was already over before that.

Stafford was the reason we even had a chance to win any of those last 7 games.

completed 41% of his passes vs Pittsburg
4 INTs and a pick 6 vs TB
40% of his passes vs Philly is understandable but Foles was able to complete 50%
53% vs Baltimore and 3 INTs
2 INTs vs NYG and a pick 6
MN completed 67%

Pittsburgh was drop city. Biggest drop game of the year in the rain. He actually played well in his 0/9 finish in the 4th. What he completed destroyed Pittsburgh. 362 yards is a huge day.

Baltimore first pick not his fault and the last one doesn't happen if the defense holds and Tucker isn't kicking miracles. Waddle allowed pressure on the play too causing the high throw in a known passing situation.

Tampa the last pick not his fault. That was Calvin's hands. That was a game winning play by Stafford that became an int. Pettigrew ducked for some reason and don't know how David got that first pick. There was pressure on some of the picks too. Oline gets some blame.

The first pick was not Staffords fault. He made a great play. And the play before shouldn't have had a penalty. It should have been first and 10 from the Giants 11. Instead, Tuck gets a big play. And Fauria had a chance on that last one. Defender was behind and to inside so had to throw towards outside.

Stafford made a ton of plays in the last 7 games. Only 5 of 10 picks his fault. He should not be blamed.

Ben completed 64% of his passes that day and Stafford only 41%...there weren't 11 drops!

There were 7 and then 2 drops led to a pick (never would have lobbed it on 3rd and long down 3). And there was a PI missed call on a 3rd and 5 to Calvin early in the 4th. Lack of separation hurt too. Stafford was 0/10 in the 4th but he made a ton of plays in the 4th when you watch the tape.

27 points plus a FG attempt (fake) at Pittsburgh should be a win.

Bush had a fumble with great field position too in the 2nd.

Stafford gets the least blame for that loss.

Steeler game when Stafford could have made a difference

3rd and 3 on Pitt 31
Stafford incomplete short left to R Bush
Stafford incomplete short middle to CJ. Turn over on downs

1st and goal from the 1
Stafford incomplete short middle to Ross
Stafford incomplete short right to Bush
Stafford incomplete short middle to Fauria

0-5 on SIMPLE pass attempts

0-5 on SIMPLE pass attempts

The pass to Calvin was not simple. Bush didn't get downfield far enough too. Just missed him.

The goalline plays were well covered. Should be running that in. Still got 3.

27 and a fake FG is enough on the road in Pittsburgh.

It's not even fun anymore..LKP, Slick - whoever you are..it's boring. Change it up a little bit. Fk.

People need to watch the game tape instead of spouting stats that don't tell the story. I'll keep telling them the context of what happened every single time.

Lkp: stats dont tell the story (unless they come from pff)....barometric pressure and concentrated injuries tell the real story.

from NYG game thread

Stafford throw on the pick 6 was terrible. Once again he didn't get help. Dickerson is playing with a damn concussion and doesn't tell anyone and drops and holds in OT.

The coach does not matter until Bush and Stafford get their heads out of their asses. We lose with any coach with these turnovers. And if the turnovers are on a coach, it's on Linehan the OC.

How is it possible to "play well in an 0-9 stretch?" "Yeah, Jennings played well scoring 8 points in his 4/28 attempts"

Rewatched the tape and saw the lb. had to go wide. I counted that as his fault in the five still too. You got nothing dalton

your problem is you watch the tape looking only for the possible excuses and trying to find anything positive you can. You are the definition of a blind homer.
