Hoops vs Creighton

Well crushed on the boards but still found a way to win. We did have 6 blocks to the Bulldogs 1 .

Did they just say livers hit a shot to put us in the final 4?

I don?t know exactly what was said, but I heard the guys talking about the long bucket at the buzzer that kept Michigan alive in the run to the championship game two years ago.

Maybe it's the similar hair and jersey #? How do you make such a big mistake? Yikes.
Maybe they got their drink orders in early.

In other action, Evansville is up on Kentucky 56-53 with 6:42 to go

Good solid win

Yeah, that call about hitting the game winning shot got me, too. I think his partner set him straight away from the microphone. Sometimes commentators just try to hard.

Evansville beats Kentucky! Icing on top of our win.

College basketball teams tend to evolve as seasons wear on. It was a good solid win and I'm happy the new coach is off to a decent start. Hoping the team buys in to what Howard is selling and things improve. The real story will be how the team is playing in February and March.

What Howard should be selling is ?remember the things the last coach taught you? Keep doing that.?

Pretty sure the team has bought in. The adjustments from 1st half to 2nd half last night were glaringly obvious. They worked.

Definitely a different vibe and pace than Beilein but I agree about the adjustments and I thought the team looked pretty good on the whole.

Livers and Teske were absolutley awesome in that 2nd half. Simpson and Brooks really turned up the D in the 2nd, also. Very happy about that. They just totally stepped up. Still not happy about the turnovers. It keeps teams that are clearly not as good in the game. And please god, tell Colin Castleton to stop putting the ball on the floor when he gets a pass. He turns it over or fumbles with the ball everytime he does that. Everytime last night he got a pass, my heart would skip a beat. Either go up right away with the shot or fucking pass it. And get in the gym for Christ sakes. Too many times he gets the ball taken away rebounding. Another thing that stood out last night were the 2nd and 3rd chance opportunities for Creighton that resulted from Michigan's hustle on the boards. Sounds weird to say that, but everybody was crashing the boards and knocking the ball out of the other's hands. Need more communication and awareness in that aspect. Cant be fighting each other and giving it back. I was happy about the effort, though. Great 2nd half. And I love it when Rafftery calls our games. The dude is still at it after all these years and he seems to know our guys really well.

And another thing, how in the fuck are we not ranked? Are the teams ranked 15-26 better than a Michigan squad returning 3 majors players from last year.

I'd say, don't worry about ranking

They have Elon and Houston Baptiste next, nothing to brag about. Then they have a game against Iowa St and I'd say IF they win that, they would deserve some ranking consideration. Problem with that is, the next game after that would probably be UNC.

We only had 11 turnovers last night. Huge improvement from the first game.
