Hoops vs Iowa

What is Frustrating is if this game is called close to right we win easy.

Team is trash. Will be lucky to win 10 big ten games.
Oh fuck off. Just went into an extremely tough environment, fought against an insane FT discrepancy, and were still in it until the end. All without our best shooter and 2nd leading scorer.

Defensively, this team is fucking putrid. Don't know what else to tell you.

There defense is putrid. Losing Yaklich was a big blow. I would rather have him over Martel I think. The game last night was lost on the free throw line. One team was 27-30. The other team was 4-5. 25 more attempts will do it. They also win last night if Simpson shows up. He was not Very good. They also win if Livers is 100 % and playing.

Now if they get 10 big ten wins that will get them to 20 on the season and that will be good enough for a Ncaa bid. Hell I think 18 will be good enough with how bad other leagues are across the country. That said I think this team will struggle to win even at home without Livers. Every game will be close. Simpson has to show up, and remember a assist is as good as a bucket right now. Plus he can score.
It really frustrated me when we stopped driving to the rim last night. It was working. Too many three point shot attempts when we needed buckets.

There's truth to both points. Yeah the free throw line killed us last night, but we have been letting guys go off on us too much this year. Defense definitely needs to improve.

In these tight big ten games you gotta get stops late in the game and Michigan just isn't doing it consistently from what I've seen.

No, that's a lazy analysis. 50% of UM's fg attempts were 3's. Iowa attacked the paint and were rewarded. Michigan has nobody that will penetrate all the way to the basket. Hell the starting pg would rather throw up a hook shot than finish strong. Go back to even the Gonzaga game and they didnt get to the line. The difference was they hit some 3's that game.

No bank holiday for either the AP pollsters or the coaches staffers; not surprisingly, floundering Michigan departs both lists.

If you say so but it?s really not.

If you watched this game Michigan did in fact drive a lot to the basket a bit more then you think at Iowa. Not as much as I would like because that was what got them the 6 or 7 point lead in the second half. They shot way to many threes in this game. There was many chances to send Michigan players to the line at Iowa.
Wagner was hammered a few times on drives not called. David D. a few others. 30 or 5 is a disgrace in free throw attempts. It should never happen.

Yeah, you clearly don't watch Michigan games. Simpson is barely using the hook shot this season.

Were we going to come close to 30 FTs? Nope. Still doesn't change the atrocious job the officials did. Wieskamp got away with multiple hook and holds and every one ended up a foul on us. Garza shuffled his pivot foot on multiple post ups and was never called for traveling. Instead he got FTs.

Wagner, Davis, Teske all fouled at the rim with no whistle. Wagner should have had an and 1. The game was not officiated down the middle. Stevie Wonder could see that.

Wagner was fouled a couple times on 2 lay ups that I saw. And we all know body bumps on a lay up are called all the fucking time on the Wolverines.

This immediately after Minnesota shot 27 ft's to Michigan's 4 at Minnesota...

I'm willing to bet that PSU doesn't get that huge foul advantage tomorrow night at Crisler. Michigan won't change their style that much...
