Freshman doing dumb freshman shit in the last few minutes. FTs were terrible. I expected some offensive clunkers to start this season, so I'm not that surprised by this game. Defense was great and plenty to control the entire game.

I've learned not to judge the team in November and December. Also not surprised to see the offensive struggles at times. That's a Beilein classic so hopefully they will progress as the season moves forward.

The free throws though...ugh that is so disconcerting. That's going to kill them if they don't fix that.

You watch Duke, Kansas, may, and Kentucky and I wonder in a 10 game series would Michigan wouldn't win many games veses those clubs. Duke has so many good players. You look at the freshmen they have coming in and ours and they are light and day apart from each other. Why can't jb get one or two of these top guys.

Ehh there's a lot of competition with blue blood schools for the most elite recruits. Hard to sell Michigan basketball over Duke, Kentucky etc to a 17/18 year old kid.

We also don't pay our players. All of those teams do. Turns out that helps a lot in recruiting.

I think one red flag is how long a coach is somewhere before he has blue chip talent coming in.

If it's suspiciously soon, chances are they're greasing palms to get it.

If they start gradually winning and recruiting better, less likely that's an issue.
