Hoops

Crazy that our starting 5 was entirely guys that we recruited and not transfers. Also 2 of the 3 bench guys that played were original recruits. That's unheard of today. Every game we've played at least 4 starters were transfers.

I'm hoping MSU wins it all. I don't think anybody can beat Puke though.

But anything can happen in a close game.

Auburn is beatable. I think MSU has the depth to withstand their runs and fight through their picks late in the game better than we did.

Just not sure a Big ten team can break through. So many tough teams left. Man did Purdue fall for such a basic out of bounds play.
What is strange is out of the 4 teams that played yesterday Auburn vs Michigan and and MSU verses Mississippi I really thought Mississippi played the best of the 4 teams. Auburn and MSU relied on Bench scoring and runs. Auburn got red hot after UM took a 48-39 lead with 12 left.. MSU wore Mississippi down. MSU defense was the difference. I was shocked Mississippi out rebounded msu. Doubt that happens again. Will freshman PETTIFORD go off again ? He only averages 8 a game. Auburn -5.5 seems high to me. I thought Auburn was sloppy as hell and um could have had a larger lead if they just stopped turning the ball over.

Bench scoring (and runs) has been a big part of our success all season. We've also had an insane number of wins after trailing at half time. We haven't had a star until the very recent rise of Jase Richardson as a go-to scorer. We didn't play great, which is a good sign that we can still put out a win when we're not at our best, but bench depth, defense and getting hot at the right time are more the norm than the exception.

Zapala back in starting because of Auburns size. I'll never understand why izzo always just matches what the other team does instead of exploit their strengths as a weakness. We should try running these guys to death.

I just don't get this shit with our bigs being out top passing to each other. 2 horrible turnovers by Cooper

Season 8 Wtf GIF by The Office

What is izzo seeing????? Why go back to Kohler AND Cooper together??? Keep running with Carr and Fidler at the 4. It was working

Kohler needs to get stronger. I don't think I've ever seen him back a guy down and go up strong. Always a weak fade away.

It's too bad izzo decided to go back to 2 bigs. We had got back into the game. His stubbornness has ended seasons before tho so I'm not too shocked.
