I read if Houston lost and oklahoma lost that the Sugar Bowl would take oklahoma vs michigan.

I'd be okay with that.

See, now that's a game I'd be excited to see. Have we even ever played Oklahoma? I know when we played Texas in the rose that was the first meeting. We generally don't play Big12 teams.

# 4 Michigan Lost to # 2 Oklahoma in the 1976 Orange bowl 14-6 in one of the hardest hitting college games i have ever seen.. Michigan ended up 8-2-2 that year and # 8 in the country and that was the only time they played.... So we are 0-1 verses the Sooners..

pretty simple

24 teams....top 8 in BCS polls get byes

1st round: thurs-sat, 1st weekend of December in traditional bowl sites(to keep them happy),

2nd round, re-seed, games 3 rd week in december thurs-sat
in traditional bowl sites

3rd round: FINAL 4: Jan. 1st. Rose/Suger/Fiesta/Orange....keeps there interest

4th round: Semis...at predetermined sites 3rd Sat in Jan....

Final: last Sat in Jan.

The only playoff I'd be fine with is a top 8 playoff. Keep everything the same and just have three more games after the 4 BCS bowls. Winners of the BCS bowls face off.

I remember that well....a whole lot of D in that game

I think in either Bo's or Barry's Switzer's book Barry was asked about Michigan's defense and he had high praise for Bo and Michigan. Oklahoma had on of the best defenses ever that season... They won the AP title I think that year at 11-1

Have your bowl games, Alamo, Outback etc. But the top 8 are playing for title.
