Clearly the ball moved around as he hit the ground. Doesnt that mean he didnt maintain possession throughout the catch?? Especially since he landed ob.

The views I saw, replay after it happened - both 2-point tries looked good. I didn't see any movement but I could have missed it.

Hopefully Detroit stops using prevent defense from here out.

Best prevent defense is for the O to score more TDs...that is the only prevent defense that works.

Agreed. The Lions O was way to cautious in the 4th quarter. If Stafford is the leader of this team, let h I m go out there and close the door on teams. Sorry, but the Bell fumble was a perfect example of this. I trust Stafford to make throws more than I do rbs holding onto the ball against that defense that is constantly attacking the ball. I know the Lions were trying to wear out the clock, but, to me, they need to show more confidence in Stafford late in games.

I think he was trying to move the ball. He completed that pass to Calvin for a big first down. Clocks running, way ahead and 1st down - rushing the ball wasn't a bad call. But he fumbled..that changed everything..

In the 4th quarter it seemed like the Lions were playing scared on both sides of the ball. Was it just me?

They were up over 14 points. They need to be able to slam the door by running the ball.

2nd and 1 deep in Chi territory...should not have thrown there. Run twice and kick the field goal if you don't make it.

I just dont trust ANY rbs in that situation, against that defense, thats what they do. Did it really surprise anyone that they got the ball out?

They did what you wanted, aggressive play with a nice lead. And there was an INT, they passes to CJ for a 1st down with only 5-6 minutes left with a big lead. Then a fumble on 1st down.

Defense was a different story but Detroit isn't alone on playing the prevent defense. No one cares if they win by 6 or 60 as long as they win. And if we hadn't fumbled it would have been much much easier.

were not very good at running vs a loaded box. CHI loaded up....staff probably checked to a quick slant which should be completed 90% of the time 1 v 1. But staff threw the ball like a 6 yr old girl. Im fine with the call....just throw the damn ball.

Didn't look 1 vs 1 to me. I only had the live play as a reference but looked like 2 guys were on him. Basically smothering him.

just going off memory I think it was a 2 deep zone with Lbs playing up vs the run. So he had an outside leverage corner and a safety over the top. Slant is a perfect call...just need to execute and not throw the ball to your 6'5'' superstar WR behind him and at his foot. Good call bad throw...cj had his man beat to the inside.

Staff's balls on slants suck..if it wasn't for our guys reaching back and making a catch he might never complete those.

The announcer was ripping the call, it was something and short and you throw it!! Made me laugh , cause this board is all about throwing it to CJ regardless of down distance / playcall. Which isnt a bad call considering he is the best receiver on the planet, but to freak out as if its Durham?

Durham had some nice catches last week. I just looked at the box score. I didn't realize that they targeted CJ 10 times and he only caught 4.

He caught a 3rd down and I couldn't believe it, thought Allah himself was going to come down and personally escort me to Utah.

there was a lot of early targets that were no where near him....I think I remember the announcer saying I guess staff needs targets that are 6'8'' cause the 6'5'' ones were no where close lol. he definitely was having a hard time early.

then we made him eat his words by running vs a stacked box late in the game and fumbling the ball away. We showed that announcer!
