How did Brandon Marshalls 2pt conversion stand

there was a lot of early targets that were no where near him....I think I remember the announcer saying I guess staff needs targets that are 6'8'' cause the 6'5'' ones were no where close lol. he definitely was having a hard time early.

Petigrew is 6'5" and caught all 7 balls thrown his way. Maybe he has much longer arms than CJ!

The announcer was ripping the call, it was something and short and you throw it!! Made me laugh , cause this board is all about throwing it to CJ regardless of down distance / playcall. Which isnt a bad call considering he is the best receiver on the planet, but to freak out as if its Durham?

Yeah, he was like "Its 3rd and one and you throw it? NO, 2ND AND 1" and then he went ape shit.

Clearly the ball moved around as he hit the ground. Doesnt that mean he didnt maintain possession throughout the catch?? Especially since he landed ob.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I had no issue with it being called good. I'm usually particular about that shit too...I recorded the game so maybe I'll take another gander at it...in the end it doesn't much matter as it didn't alter the outcome.

I agree that when I first saw the replay it looked like he bobbled it as he went down. But I understood why it was called good on the field. It could simply have been that replay officials didn't see enough to overturn that call. Unlike some of the other questionable calls, the ball didn't seem to hit the ground nor did Marshall lose possession entirely after the initial play. I really can't pretend to understand what is and isn't a catch anymore honestly.

Why wasnt there a review even? They miss that 2pt conversion the game is over.

It's my understanding that the booth reviews all scoring plays, along with all turnovers. If the booth feels that the play is in question they buzz down to the referee. So I believe that the play was "reviewed" just not by Mike Carey.

Now if you believe Terrell Suggs in stating that Goodell turned out the lights in New Orleans during the Super Bowl because he favors certain teams, it's safe to say that he also hates the Lions and that might explain the answer to your question better.

I don't believe the Lions have a good enough history to hate them.
