they do, but geopolitical impacts on the market tend to be transitory. The tariff talk so far has mostly blown over because so far it's mostly talk - the tariffs that have been implemented aren't nearly as significant/impactful as the rhetoric would indicate. That's not to say we won't end up in a real trade war, in which case, the economy and the market will both take a bigger and longer lasting hit.

One thing really getting under my skin is that some people are being convinced that Russia is just another country that we should work to cooperate with.
If you're an enemy of the US and can't buy US arms, where do you get your weapons? (Other than from Oliver North, President of the NRA.)
Russia was making progress toward being a democracy and Putin ended it. You have to be deeply un-American to find that to be acceptable (let alone admire it.)
I should add it's not people here, it's facebook where I'm seeing this...people going overboard defending Trump to the point where they are ignoring the fact that our relationship with Russia is bad for good reasons.

Rand Paul has certainly had his clashes with Trump in the past.
But yes, now that it's been scientifically proven (by fake climate change science) that there's a gravitation rotational vortex in Helsinki that can have a faulty intermix with audio/video transmission waves that occasionally makes it sound on the other side of the world that a person is saying exactly the opposite of what they truly are saying, I have to agree that accusations of "treason" are too much, especially from a guy like Brennan, who should probably be weighing his words a little more carefully than an ordinary Joe.
I don't believe trump meant to say wouldn't I do however agree with Rands assessment

What Trump did is grounds for impeachment, and if any sitting democratic president had done what Trump did we know exactly how Fixed Entertainment and others in the GOP would have reacted. I get it - fake rage, and running around with your hair on fire - is the natural response to anything Trump does, but the overreach on the real ramifications of this is going to cause this to fade like every other horrendous scandal that Trump has been involved in.
I suspect, eventually the Dems will learn they have a ridiculous amount of ammunition, without all the fake rage, and will take some time, but will regain power, and then they can undo everything Trump has done.
People and democracies are quite resilient. Many thought there is no way they could survive 8 years of Obama, and yet here we are.
