I think you're right... for the "Two Parties That Agree On Everything But Abortion" Party this is just too good of a distraction from things like them raising the "defense" budget again, while telling everyone there's no money for healthcare, education, roads, trains, airports, etc., and simultaneously handing the rich a big tax cut.

I do wonder though if the Mueller report uncovered just generally run-of-the-mill corruption between Trump's organization, and the Russian & Chinese mobs, that no one really wants to dig through because it incriminates too many others who've taken money from them as well.
