Even minor league umps think the fans are there to see them.

Get StartedCould have had something to do with the fact the player was staring the umpire down as well the whole time as well.

Okay, I saw it that time. Twice he motioned but they were awfully quick. I mean, doesn't a player get a moment to collect himself? Under the rule he had transgression but come on..
That hitter was not "collecting himself" he was being a jerk and he deserved to get tossed. He spends several seconds in the box arguing the call, steps out, the umpire orders him back in the box, the batter says something and does not move, gets strike two called on him, the umpire orders the hitter back in the box again, the hitter makes no motion to get in the box (based on where he was standing after the broadcast cut to the pitcher) and the ump called the third strike.
If anyone was making a show of the matter it was the hitter.
9.4 seconds. That is too short. Watch the game tonight....guys will stand outside the box without calling time for longer than 5 seconds at a time. If it was the balls and strike issue just throw him out but ringing him up on strikes in that short of a time frame is bull shit IMO

No they won't.
Not when the Pitcher is on the rubber. You can step out in between pitches, but that guy didn't step out after the pitch, he argues with the Umpire while in the box, then when the pitcher was back and ready the batter stepped out. That does not happen in MLB, or those players would be told to get back in the box as well.
