Just checked the listings; don't see his name.

Haven't checked into that show this season, or last season really; sort of has been crossing my mind to wonder.

Too bad.

He actually got a chance to talk about something that he knew he was talking about on that show.

Keith Olbermann left MSNBC, for Current TV, he was one of the few blatantly liberal-opinionated broadcasting voices, such as Rachael Maddow and Cenk Uygur on the MSM as opposed to the allegedly "fair and balanced" Fox News Channel, and despite what those far-right female fundie freaks such as Sharron Angle, Michele Bachmann, Christine O'Donnell, and Sarah Palin would instead want to have us believe.

I watch him occasionally on the Current network. But he is up against Ed Schultz at the 8 time slot.
Always impressed me with his baseball knowledge,

Comcast might have had something to do with it.[/quote:sh2qzwk5]

Well, the article you quote says it wasn't Comcast. My take on Keith is that a guy like KO runs off more than he attracts. I know someone here mentioned Fox, but - aside from Hannity - most of the line-up at Fox yacks about important things and keeps the conversations reasonably peaceful. Now, there was the big bru-ha-ha between O'Reilly and Bawny Fwank, but most Americans would have been upset at BF if they'd have to listen to his blathering about "helping the poor buy houses" when he was merely helping his bf at Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac or wherever. In short, he lied and swore to it, as do many pols on both sides of the aisle.
Returning to Olbergeist: he's still good for a chuckle over at the al gore thing.....Current??...but he's much funnier when Ben Affleck plays him. Ben somehow captured the craziness even Keith, Ed Schultz or the Pakistani with the British accent can emote. How these guys can muster such excited hatred for prolonged periods is astounding. Even Hannity cannot do it. As a person of the "Right" - as in wing and correct - I tend to watch Fox, but I still wander on over to the alphabet channels and CNN to see what folks who disagree with my beliefs are thinking. It's often entertaining and occasionally enlightening.

You could have left this part out and everyone would still have guessed it.

Haven't watched either network in a long time. It's refreshing not to be subjected to such inane and childish behavior.

Gotta agree. I stopped watching those about 2 years ago. You're fooling yourself if you think either side is A.) Objective and B.) has your best interest at heart. They all have their own agendas. And we'd be better off as a country if people would just accept the fact that neither side gives a shit about you and both parties are shit. Stop spending your time defending them so much.

Our system is broke. It's setup so the minor party has to spend all of their time blocking everything the majority party wants to institute. You can't ever give the other party credit for anything or help them or you'll just keep them in power. You have to block them at every turn so you make them look inept and your party is voted back into office. It's one big circle jerk.

If I wanted to watch people argue, bitch and act childish I'd watch The Kardashians.

Ok, my political rant is all over.

Thank you. I am grateful you noticed that I have class even if I myself don't dwell on it. Cheers. Happy New Year and all that.

Yeah i agree.. Although I lean left I stopped watching after Keith left MSNBC.. And I only watched him every now and then. Now i just read a few things online. I can't stand Fox. There is nothing Fair and -balanced about Murdock's Propaganda channel.. But it was right after i heard McConnell says after Obama was elected that he and his party are going to do everything the next four years to get him out of power that i just plain checked out of politics. I will probably vote left but really why bother because like you said neither party is any good and the minority (More so on the republican side) blocks everything they can.. I was pissed when McConnell said that.. Personally right then and there Obama should have said fuck the republicans but he was to chicken...

Here's my take....media only cares about ratings, politicians are crooked and only care about themselves....Fuck 'em all.

I don't get why the Left bashes Fox so much. Seriously, there are how many Left channels on TV? If you are interested in being Fair & Balanced - which you laugh at Fox for proclaiming - then you'd wake up to realize they can claim that in part because they are the sole source of TV for the Right. Get off their back. Bitch about politics if you want, but bitching that the opposite party has a voice is quite frankly bordering on an extreme I for one don't want to ever see in America...whether to the Right or Left.

As a moderate, I fully agree they all suck because they are constantly pushing their own political agenda instead of providing mainstream America a true unbiased view from which to formulate opinions. Nonetheless, better that these extremist networks exist than not because the day they are no longer operating is the day we lose a big chunk of freedom. How? Because when there isn't anyone around to voice an opposing opinion then you lose perspective, and eventually spiral into a one dimensional government that lacks proper checks and balances, without which freedoms are easily trampled...opening the door for socialism, communism, fascism, etc and the office of the President becoming the office of the Dictator, Supreme Leader, or worse.

Seriously why do people on the right get so offended when other people blast Fox.. I just don't get it. I mean the right owns 95% of talk radio all day every day. They probably get more then half of the tv viewing especially with Fox on freaking at every Old folks home and hospital and doctor's office I go to. I mean everywhere I go that gibberish is on. So Z. I disagree with you with you.. There is a more of a controlling feature of fox News that really bugs the crap out of me.. Like a tick that goes off in my head that says take a gun out and shoot that TV with Fox Noise on.. Then I wake up and decide not to go to jail and walk away.. But like I stated above i have not watch much of the other lefty channels you talk about either lately. Democrats are fucking pansy's.. They never stand up to the right in my opinion.. But just like in your rant above it is only a opinion which I am entitled to have. Funny thing is maybe if we could get some politicians to agree on somethings maybe we could save this country.. But like another poster said the one party is just trying to get the other one out of office and when they win the other party starts the game over again.. To me leaning to the left it just seems that the republicans and the right, and Fox are better at it then the democrats and all those lefty stations you say we have.. Again just my opinion..
Peace.

I'm just tired of all the Fox bashing. And yes, tired of all the NPR bashing by the Right as well. At some point this nation needs to have the ability to move toward the center instead of pushing beyond the fringes on both sides. Whether the extremists be Tea Party or OWS...I have zero use for their BS when there are serious problems requiring actual resolutions instead of a bunch of whining extremists getting their panties in a bunch. My guess is you feel the same.

If you don't like Fox, don't watch it, I stopped watching all that junk years ago, whether it be Fox, CNN, MSNBC, or other so called news because it is just lame. Maybe because they are competing against Reality TV (no, don't watch that garbage either) they feel it necessary to over-hype every fucking little thing.

It just seems everyone is more interested in destroying than building or fixing because that is the easy thing to do. I look forward to the day a politician is able to unite this nation again, but the MSM will never let that happen if they can help it because what will all these D v R / L v C shows do to sell their air time then???

Yeah, that'll happened. Ideologies. And as a far right conservative, I don't want them moving to the center. That's my political post of 2011. Be back next December.

That is is problem. The right will never concede anything while the left caves in half of the time to the left. The right will never give up until they destroy this country with the all the crap spew out of their lips. God we need a third party that is decent and not so radical like the tea freaks. Oh well....

I agree completely. Actually, I listen to NPR quite a bit on long trips and so forth. They have interesting programming, which Fox also has. Seems like some on the left cannot stand the existence of Fox, Palin, Bush or Tebow. It becomes obsessive. I don't like Obama, but I'll not go on some kind of rant & hope he dies or something. I'd like to see him pull a Clinton and come toward the middle but that won't happen.

I'm independent.. and I can't STAND Fox News. About two years ago when I was working in Frankenmuth everyone would watch it during lunch. Literally, one TV for everyone. I went to change it one day and everyone yelled at me. I asked why and they said, and I'm not joking, "Because this is the next best thing to Comedy Central." (We didn't get CC).

Anywho, it's the crazies on the radio who are the worst. I remember getting literally angry at Laura Ingram when listening to her on the way to work one day. Something along the lines of blaming our economy on Obama before he was even elected, saying how McCain will keep this country going in the "right direction." Crazy bitch.

/politics off.
