This is why expanding the playoffs is a bad idea IMO.

The Cards got hot when it counted, but overall again were the worst of all 8 playoff teams.

162 games don't seem to mean as much when you just coast through the season but only get serious at the end.

Cards demonstrated that on occasion stats just don't matter.
