QB rating is a team stat as far as I'm concerned. Better number 3, Ebron year 2, year 2 system, better run game and protection, the QB rating will soar with Stafford already playing on an elite level.

So does this mean the QB is irrelevant. If Staff was on the Packers he would of had the same QB as Rodgers and vice versa?

QB still needs to play well and Stafford does play well. QB play is one of many factors. Run support, protection, turnover support (getting short fields), health for weapons and Oline, weapon separation, number of dependable weapons, weapon catching ability (drops) all factor into QB rating too.

Stafford would have elite numbers with 2014 Packers health and support. Stafford would have elite numbers if Calvin, Bush and Oline stayed healthier and Ross/Ebron/Oline/Bell(first half of season) did their job.

Stafford can have elite numbers with Lions. Lions health and support should be better than 2015 Rodgers. Stafford can have a higher QB rating in 2015 than Rodgers. I'd put Stafford's game tape rating pretty close to Rodgers in 2013 and 2014.

I think he could have put up a 120 rating on 2014 GB or 2014 Detroit (with better health, run game and protection).

Just like the lions to make a rash decision with no back up plan. They should have been grooming a high round back up for years now....but they are dumb and roll with lolorlovsky. They should do alot of things but they never do. ....i don't expect stafford getting cut. ...ever.

Restructure him before a cut. Or extend him to lower his cap number actually. Zero chance he is cut after his 2013 and 2014 seasons were good on tape. Some chance we draft a QB though if we have a bad year. I'd take one Round 2 or 3 to replace Orlovksy anyway.

The top 5 defense isn't terribly far fetched, but he's putting an awful lot of faith in Joe Lombardi's 'system'. It will take more than Stafford stepping for those numbers to happen. I also don't see it but would be ecstatic if the offense came remotely close to those stats.
