I know it's not probable, but let's just say we win on accident. Do we game plan for Dallas for our entire bye week? Id have to say that itd be absolutely braindead not to. Here's the playoff tree, given we win in GB.

If Stanton is back he can game manage and the Cards can rely on their defense to force turnovers which well Romo you know, and win ugly. Likely Dallas wins for sure but any given Sunday.

If the Lions win, it would not be by accident. It will require solid play, great calls by coordinators and coach, minimal TOs by offense, acceptable penalties as few as possible (yes, some penalties are acceptable and near impossible to not be penalized in a game, just keep them infrequent and not leading to GB points), take advantage of GB mistakes while minimizing impact of Lions mistakes.

Probably several other factors too, but doing those things would not be accidental and would likely lead to a win. Lions have a good team. An accident would have been the Bucs beating the Pack last week.

I think bye week you just get your team ready, get them working on execution, get people healthy, and focus on what you want to do. Second week you focus on the team you are playing and make the game plan adjustments at that time.

It will be likely you play Dallas, if Arizona wins you probably get Green Bay and you should be familiar with them. Either way, 1st week I'm still focusing on my team if I was a coach.

If Detroit wins, GB will be the 6th seed (and Detroit will be the 6th seed if GB wins). With that in mind, the NFC West WC will take on the NFC South winner.

Detroit still has a chance at a 1st seed in this scenario, but it involves both Arizona AND Seattle tying and/or losing this week. So Detroit will likely have the 2nd seed.

What worries me is that if GB beats Dallas, Detroit will likely face Seattle or Arizona.

The way it looks now, a Detroit win this Sunday will most likely result in a game against Dallas, Arizona, or Seattle after the bye (since it's impossible for Detroit to play GB in a 2nd-6th seed setup, and I have no faith in any NFC south team).

A Detroit loss this Sunday will most likely put Detroit in Dallas during WC week (with a small chance to play in Seattle).

My nephew was over for Xmas...he's die-hard Packers. Just kept bringing up the 23 game losing streak like a politician spewing propaganda. GB fans are so damned entititled. They don't even fathom any other possible outcome than a win for them on Sunday. Gonna be a loooooooong two days....

I'm sure if we had won 23 in a row some over here wouldn't be any different. It's not be entitled but talking smack to his Uncle.

Crap I think I have some relatives coming over Sunday afternoon, how am I supposed to get pissed off watching the Lions with relatives over, oh man this is not going to be easy. Least I'll still be able to watch it I guess, I remember one year had to go their and they wouldn't turn it over to the game and had is on figure staking for gaawd sakes, man that was painful.

I don't do "events" with family or friends on Sundays if the Lions are playing. You ain't coming over and I'm not going to your house either. Schedule it on Saturday if you want me there. I make no apologies for it either. I went home to visit my family right after Thanksgiving...made sure I flew back that Saturday instead of Sunday so I'd be home to see the Lions/Bucs game that Sunday.

Me too. I absolutely will not plan anything that isn't mandatory. My wife wants to go home to Saginaw next weekend.....I said that's fine, but if the Lions have a wild card game.....you're going alone.

Could be a win win for me this Sunday. If the Lions win.....I get to celebrate a division title and first round bye. If they lose....I get a weekend without kids and a Lions playoff game.

If my wife wants me to go anywhere on a game day I tell her "I'm a man, we watch football..that's what we do."

I'm going to have to start paying more attention the problem is I let the wife schedule all that stuff the generally don't see it till last min cuz I don't like to think too far ahead when it comes to all these holiday shindigs I need to do a better job and making sure she knows what days their are games! Lol

you guys care about the Lions WAY too much.

I certainly care more about watching football (specifically the only team I root for) over any bullshit family event that needs to be scheduled on Sunday during football season. Now if the Lions had a bye week or aren't playing then schedule whatever you need to schedule and I'll attend. Other than that, schedule it on Saturday (or any other day of the week) instead and I'll attend.

I also only do that for the NFL. The play once per week. That's it. If you miss the game then you have to go another week before you see the next game. Even though I love all the other sports as well I will choose to go to scheduled events over watching MLB, NBA, NHL and college football. The NFL is the only deal breaker. Although I do try to avoid Sunday family/friend events during one of the 4 golf majors.

I just take the remote and turn on the game on.. Ridicules how non Lion fans don't understand what is going on right now? Figure skating.. WTF.. I can understand if its Olympics and a USA man or women is going for a medal.... But The Lions never get this far most years....

TURN IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
