This seemed to be quite the topic over the weekend.

If I have to sit through a week(after a loss) with knots in my stomach, avoiding sports highlights, co-workers' jabs, looking at my bought gear with frustration, and last, and most unsettling not least, having fucking dreams of a do over. I cant tell you how many times over my life, after an Ohio St. loss, have I had those dreams(half awake half asleep) of watching the game over with a different outcome. Or those Saturdays of an unexpected defeat at the hands of MSU throughout the 80s and 90s and early 2000s. All week I would just look at the sky and say, "How.... in..... the fuck?!!!!!!!!!"

Hell fucking yes I get to bitch!!!

I dream about the Ohio State game from time to time too but it’s never a game that has already happened-I guess it’s the next game coming up and it’s the day of the game.

It’s actually always before the game and I’m heading toward the stadium. Sometimes I’m in Ann Arbor and sometimes I’m in Columbus.

I think I am always awakened or else the trajectory of my dream changes before the game actually ever starts.

apparently, you aren't allowed if you are a former UM WR and work for the Big 10 Network.

1.8 yards per rush when we were all sold this bigger, tougher , atttiude in the off season.
I expected improvement and all we saw was the same shit as last season. A Undisciplined team on defense that didn’t adjust until it was 21-3. Awful prefromence . Jim’s team wasn’t ready for the big stage . AGAIN!

I am over the Jim Harbaugh here until he starts winning regularly.

Hell Ed Orgeron’s team looked way better then last season.

Just heard only one other power 5 team rushed for less yards then Michigan .
Louisville verses Alabama.

One decent o-line (2011) since 2009. That's ridiculous and deserves to be complained about.

It will continue to ruin every season until it gets fixed. It's incredible that the coaches thought Runyan Jr and JBB were the best options to put at LT and RT. Runyan Jr is a guard because of his physical limitations. JBB can't pass protect against a construction cone half the time.

James Hudson has a much higher ceiling than Runyan. At the very least, put him at LT and let him make his mistakes against WMU and SMU. Start getting him ready. Runyan is going to get our QBs killed.

Is that going to happen? Nope. Just going to roll with what doesn't work.

Evaluating who can criticize what and where they can do it without being a jerk requires nuance and judgement. Wording counts too.

Edwards's post was pretty bad. There's an f-bomb and calling people trash in addition to calling out individuals. He probably could have gotten away with most of the ideas in his post if he had just been nicer about it. What if he had said something more like "Ruiz and the O Line need to get stronger and Shea needs to step into his leadership position. Offense needs to be more unpredictable. Michigan Football has to get better."?

I think if he clarified "I was drunk, AND openly taking shit from non-UM fans at the time" all would be forgiven, or at least understood.

Worst case scenario: he was sober, AND in the presence of not only reasonable UM fans who were putting the loss into context, (namely that it was a road opener, AND ND is more likely than not, a Top 10 team), but also ND fans who were being philosophical about the outcome, and magnanimous in victory.

He's long been kind of a loose cannon though. See, e.g. getting in bar fights in Birmingham, MI with his entourage. So many things wrong with that...

Well, I don't think it was fair of him to put all on the shoulders of Ruiz and Patterson. He already admitted that was wrong and that he was sitting around drunk and decided to go on twitter. That is never a smart idea. If he had sat in his living room and bitched to his buddies, no one would've ever known.

SO, yes, complain all you want, but don't do it drunk on twitter, especially when you work for the Big 10.

Can't put the "one decent o-line since 2009" deal on anyone associated with the team right now. You can say, no decent o-line in the last 4 years on Harbaugh, but even that is pushing it. He's just now getting his sophomores in there.

After Michigan lost to ND, I went to bed and dreamt that Michigan lost to Texas A&M. Weird!

I know. I'm just pointing out that is why a lot of us are venting our frustration. It's been so damn long since the o-line was good.

It doesn't help that this staff whiffed on so many tackle prospects.

Remember when we lost because of the defense(1999, 2004, 2006, fuck I could go on and on)? Lol, We never used to have a problem keeping up with teams, we had trouble keeping them from the end zone in big games.

After the game I started getting that RR feeling for Harbaugh. Over paid and over hyped. Big off season hype no in season production.

i have always said you can complain and be "pessimistic" or more like realistic and yet still support the team

I know it is so frustrating. Hopefully it was just a bad game. Hopefully they will be better.

Also, depending on how much attention you get, you can impact the players with this negativity. It's one thing here on this board, but we know the players know what Edwards said. I think, a broad reading of Schembechler's THE TEAM speech would suggest that Edwards shouldn't have tweeted that.

We, the Michigan fan, are a different breed. We can bitch up and down, shoot holes in our walls, and cuss and say jo blo stinks and should be taken off scholarship for not living up to expectations(we're a very expressive bunch), BUT we would never wish ill will on that person, ever! We always want these boys to succeed, beyond, even if they stink at football. They tried and gave it their all and will be a Michigan Man always.
