I was on YouTube again last night after watching a few things the Alabama verses Michigan 2000 orange bowl popped in and it was condensed down to a hour so I decided to watch the game . Brady coming from behind 14-0 and 28-14 to win 35-34 in overtime on a botched Bama extra point ....A couple things . Tinsel mentions this from time to go but after the game when they interviewed Carr he always has a lot of kind words for Michigan’s Opponents. I know it is coach speak be everything out of Carr’s mouth always seems genuine to me. I am sorry I blasted his offensive In later years. The other thing that pops on the screen right at the beginning is total National championship which at the time was 12 for Bama and 11 for Michigan . { yes I know The wolverines have had only one since 1947 or 48} So since 2000 Bama has won a Million more national titles and Michigan is still searching for a new identity.

(I never knew teams had a bunch of unclaimed national titles? I have heard of a few but I never knew Michigan had 5 that that claimed lol)

IIRC a bunch of those bama national titles were bogus.

Not even like "hey there were 3 undefeated teams that year and Bama was one of them" but more like "Bama was 7-3 and there were 3 undefeated teams that year"

It looks like they claimed the 1941 NC (houlgate poll) with a 9-2 record

They got their own way of doing things down South.

kinda reminds me of what Muhammed Ali said when he was told a computer picked him to lose in a simulated match against Rocky Marciano: "That computer was made in Alabama"

I use to think that the kicker could only win games, not lose them. The 2000 Orange Bowl the only example of the kicker losing the game that I have seen. LOL!

I remember we missed a fg, too(I thought it was in OT for some reason). I just rewatched it and it was to win the game. Epstein missed a 36yd fg and was the reason we went to OT. The world righted itself on Bama's extra point.

We could have are own rating the DSF rating system.. Michigan could have many more unclaimed titles..

The fg to win was blocked. Epstein could have won the game if it had not been blocked, but he didn't lost the game. The Bama kicker shanked the extra point in OT and so lost the game. It was all on him. Pretty rare.

If a team is losing and the kicker comes in to kick a game winning fg and he misses it, then he didn't lose the game. The team was already losing the game. The loss shouldn't be placed on the kicker. So, I think the kicker can only win the game in that situation.

Sure.

The Michigan board of the DSF could award Michigan every college football NC going back to the beginning of time.

That?s what I did when I was publishing the Disassociated Press.

I guess this Sparty board could do the same thing for MSU.

Lol, the video I watched was so bad, I thought he missed it.
